  • Publication number: 20240114150
Abstract: A display processing device includes a display device interface and a processing unit. The processing is configured to transition at least a first component of the display processing system into a low-power state in response to an active region of a first video frame of a plurality of video frames having completed. A second component of the display processing device is configured to maintain a temporal count value corresponding to a current frame line of the plurality of video frames, and further to generate a first signal in response to the temporal count value corresponding to a first trigger value. The first signal causes the at least first component to transition out of the low-power state.

  • Publication number: 20230116708
Abstract: An algorithm for generating synergistic markers based on the deviation between the treatment and control groups in the association among existing markers or features is provided. Using the synergistic markers for predicting the treatment option solves the problem of treatment option propensity to the individual levels of covariates, such as patient demographics, clinical information and tumor characteristics. The synergistic markers are used in clinical decision support with an outcome prediction model developed for predicting a treatment option, enjoying following advantages. First, the synergistic markers predict the treatment option based on the inter-covariate association level instead of magnitudes of individual covariates. Such prediction gets rid of the propensity to certain covariates influencing the clinical decision.

  • Patent number: 10477951
Abstract: An environmental-friendly paintbrush without bristle-implanting holes includes a handle, a bristle-implanting brush head, and a metal plate. The bristle-implanting brush head may have one end provided with a bristle material-laying trough, and another end connected with the handle. A plastic block may be placed inside the bristle material-laying trough. Bristle material may be filled in an interstitial space between the plastic block and the bristle-implanting brush head. The plastic block is formed with a metal-laying trough. The metal plate is set inside the metal-laying trough. Two ends of the bristle material-laying trough are formed with metal slots provided inside the brush-implanting brush head. Two ends of the metal plate are slotted into the metal slots. A method of processing an environmental-friendly paintbrush without bristle-implanting holes is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20100074553
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses of contrast enhancement on an image are disclosed. The method performs local shading of fine contrast variations in an image, with particular advantage in tone mapping applications. The amounts of shading are determined by the preferred degree of increased image contrast 810, including compensation for subsequent tone mapping, and the difference between a profile signal 803 and the image signal 801 conditional on the signal profile level being higher than the original image signal level, wherein avoiding boosting of brightness level to obtain contrast enhancement. The profile signal 803 is calculated by the weighted sum of the image signal and the absolute signal variation which is the absolute value of the variation between the brightness of two neighbor pixels. This amount of shading is reduced to zero when the profile signal 803 is lower than the original image signal 801 for avoiding the overshooting problem at sharp edges in an image.

  • Publication number: 20100030035
Abstract: The present invention relates to a fuzzy system that provides a measure of global cardiovascular risk based on the risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease and stroke. The fuzzy system is of multiple input single output (MISO) wherein the inputs are the values of risk factors and the output is the measure of global cardiovascular risk.

  • Publication number: 20090278786
Abstract: A method of adjusting image intensity to compensate backlight dimming in dynamic backlight control, the method including estimating distortion of an image that corresponds to different mapping index values 204 selected from the intensity levels 202 of an image. The estimated distortion of image represents factors including the quantity of pixels 205 that have intensity exceeding a mapping index value 204; and the amount 206 that the intensity of each pixel exceeds the corresponding mapping index value. The method further includes selecting from a plurality of schemes 301 for adjusting image intensity to minimize the estimated distortion obtained from the estimating.
