Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method are for alerting an expectant mother to a medical risk during pregnancy. A profile of the expectant mother is used, and reports are received from the expectant mother identifying experienced symptoms. In response to a report at a particular time, any reports received over a subsequent time window are monitored, and based on the combination of reports received during the time window and the profile of the expectant mother, the need for a risk alert is determined. The user is more willing to report symptoms, because a risk alert (which functions as reporting symptoms to a medical expert) only takes place when a real risk is identified.

Abstract: There is provided a system (100) for detecting paralysis, weakness or numbness. A processor (102) acquires data obtained by a sensor (106) of a personal care device (104) used by a subject on a first part of their body and compares this data to reference data obtained by the sensor used by the subject on a second part of their body to determine whether the acquired data comprises an abnormality. The acquired data is indicative of a manner in which the subject used the device on the first part and/or a physiological property of that part. The reference data is indicative of a manner in which the subject used the device on the second part and/or a physiological property of that part. The processor detects paralysis, weakness or numbness in the first or a third part of the body of the subject when the acquired data comprises an abnormality.

Abstract: A remote assistance workstation 12 comprises a communications module 54, a user interface (UI) module 52, and a controller 56, for being coupled to a portable device 14 that includes a pair of augmented reality (AR) glasses 36 worn by a first responder to carry out an action using an object with a subject at a scene. The UI module 52 renders a remote assistant graphical user interface (GUI) 100 that includes (i) a first pane 96 for displaying a live video stream of a remote assistance request and (ii) a second pane 98 for displaying a 2D representation of the object at the scene being moveable therein by remote assistant inputs. The GUI 100 renders a corresponding item of 3D virtual content within the first pane relative to a reference point.

Abstract: A portable medical apparatus (70) for real-time individualized treatment guidance for a subject (120) comprises a user interface (72), a communications module (74), and a controller (76). The user interface (72) obtains the subject's identification information. The communications module (74) communicates with at least one of (i) a remote server (78) having stored thereon a cloud-based electronic health record that comprises at least the subject's physical body measurements and (ii) a smartphone (80) located within a given immediate proximity of the portable medical apparatus. Abstract: The present invention relates to a system (100), a device, a method (200), and a computer program for providing a health advice to a subject. It is proposed to modify a digital coaching advice depending on trends of a physiological observable (e.g., weight, Body Mass Index, etc.). A digital coach varies the wording of his/her advice depending on the risk categorization. It is proposed to analyze physiological measurements for deviation from the mean and rate of change and to translate these basic statistics into a concept of urgency/risk to structurally vary the wording or appearance of a digital coach. Thus, a digital coach as proposed herein may look, act and talk differently depending on the urgency/risk of the users. Coaches may vary in language and appearance from gentle, via hard-but-fair, to “drill sergeant”.

Abstract: An album comprising a plurality of pages, each page containing at least one image, is generated by allowing a user to select a style from a plurality of candidate styles S1 to S8, each candidate style comprising a plurality of layout definitions and each layout definition being for a certain amount of images 1 to 6, and allowing the user to place one or more images on a page. A layout for a page is then automatically generated on the basis of said selected style and the amount of images placed on said page.
