  • Patent number: 4373311
Abstract: A housing body comprises a plurality of composite wall elements. Each wall element consists of two carrier plates and a rigid synthetic resin foam support member sandwiched therebetween. The support members of adjoining wall elements have faces spaced from each other and forming a corner between the adjoining wall elements. One of the plates is shaped to conform to the corner and spans the space between the faces of the support members of the adjoining wall elements whereby the one plate is common to the adjoining wall elements.

  • Patent number: 4314726
Abstract: A cabin having sections of different cross sectional areas is displaceably mountable on a van. The cabin is constituted by an integral wall of a synthetic resin material and an aluminum skin covers the wall in the transition zones between abutting cabin sections of different cross sectional areas. A support jack is mounted on the cabin section fitting over the driver's cab of the van and associated with each cabin side wall, the support jacks being transversely adjustably positionable into an operating position outwardly adjacent the vehicle side walls.

  • Patent number: 4301789
Abstract: A modular solar collector comprises a plurality of detachably interconnected modules forming a closed structural surface. Each module comprises a solar collector unit with a cavity receiving a heat carrier fluid through an inlet and delivering the heated fluid through an outlet, the inlet and out each having a coupling part. The unit is carried on a mounting plate which has a conduit portion for the fluid embedded therein. The inlet and outlet ends of the conduit portion each has a coupling part. The inlet end coupling part and the outlet coupling part, on the one hand, and the outlet end coupling part and the inlet coupling part, on the other hand, are matched for detachable assembly to form detachable joints between respective registering pairs of the coupling parts for detachably assembling the unit and the mounting plate.

  • Patent number: 4295679
Abstract: A van structure comprises an open-ended box-like main cabin, two box-like extension cabins received in a respective open end of the main cabin, longitudinally extending cable drives along the side walls of the main cabin and trained over pulley arrangements for slidingly guiding and moving the extension cabins for sliding movement relative to the main cabin and to each other whereby the extension cabins may be telescopingly moved into and out of the main cabin, and a utility unit in the main cabin centered between the opposite ends thereof and dividing the main cabin into two compartments adjacent the respective extension cabins, the utility unit defining a space with one of the side walls of the main cabin sufficient to permit passage of a person and including two load-bearing carrier elements spaced from each other in a longitudinal direction and facing the two open ends, the pulley arrangements being anchored to the carrier elements and the carrier elements being capable of sustaining the tensile force of

  • Patent number: 4277919
Abstract: A cabin construction comprises a main cabin and an extension cabin telescopingly received in an open end of the main cabin. A first guide arrangement glidably carries and guides the extension cabin for telescoping movement in relation to the main cabin and includes a cable line having two portions respectively extending in vertical planes parallel to the cabin side walls and a pair of superposed pulleys mounted near each side wall of the extension cabin near an open end thereof, each cable line portion being trained over a respective pair of pulleys in zigzag arrangement. A second guide arrangement guides the extension cabin parallel to the main cabin and includes a cable line having two portions extending horizontally parallel to the floor and roof, and two pairs of pulleys mounted on one wall of the extension cabin, the pulleys of each pair being arranged symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal axis and each cable line portion being trained over a respective pair of the pulleys in zigzag arrangement.

  • Patent number: 4201497
Abstract: A form for producing a wall, particularly for an underground gallery, comprises a plurality of support members spaced from each other and casing elements supported on the support members. Each casing element includes two casing plates spaced from each other and consisting of shape-retaining synthetic resin, end and side walls extending between the casing plates, and a set of substantially parallel webs of synthetic resin. The webs connect the casing plates to provide a shape-retaining support for the casing plates and to transmit between the plates stress and pressure forces to which the casing element is subjected.
