  • Patent number: 6921301
Abstract: A contact assembly for a contact blade has two outer sheet-metal combs of generally identical shape and each unitarily formed with a longitudinally throughgoing base strip lying in a respective base plane and having a pair of longitudinal edges and a plurality of forks each having a pair of contact arms projecting transversely from one of the edges of the respective base strip generally parallel to each other and to the respective base plane. The arms of each fork are spaced transversely of the respective base plane from each other and define a mouth open parallel to the respective base plane away from the respective one edge. The base strips are transversely juxtaposed with the mouths aligned and forming a blade-receiving slot open parallel to the base planes and with the forks of one of the combs interleaved with the forks of the other of the combs.

  • Patent number: 6652293
Abstract: An electrical connector is used in combination with an electrical circuit board having an active element and formed with a row of throughgoing contact holes and a multiconductor cable having a plurality of wires each having a core conductor. The connector has a dielectric body formed with a row of parallel and outwardly open contact seats, a row of parallel and outwardly open wire seats aligned with and extending transversely across the contact seats, and an outwardly open pocket traversed by the contact seats and dimensioned to hold the circuit board with its holes aligned with the contact seats. Respective contacts in the contact seats each have a pointed tip engaged through the respective hole of the board in the seat and poking in the respective wire seat into the respective wire and into contact with the conductor thereof.

  • Publication number: 20020019164
Abstract: A base body with a grip portion at an angle to a contact carrier can be molded in one piece and contacts in the contact passages can be provided in an inactive position until the leads of a conductor are inserted into channels intersecting the contact passages. Then the contacts are pressed into their active positions in which pointed ends of the contacts pierce the insulation of the leads and make electrical contact with the core thereof. The potting mass is filled into the space around the conductor within the sleeve segment of the gripping portion and can extend onto the conductor to form a buckling preventer. The connection is particularly suitable for connection to sensors and the like.
