  • Publication number: 20060263732
Abstract: A fuel element or a granulate having increased quality is provided whose fuel mass can be compacted. A method and apparatus for making the fuel element or the granulate is provided which reduces the complexity of apparatus. The fuel element or the granulate is compacted and the portion of the renewable raw materials amounts to more than 30%. The mixing, the compression and the compaction of the fuel mass takes place in a closed chamber and in a continuous process during which the liquid and heated fuel mass is continuously cooled and the extrusion is cut into predetermined lengths. The apparatus is configured as an extrusion machine wherein all required units are brought together for mixing the liquid heated fuel mass with possible additives and additional substances and for compressing and compacting the same and for thermally treating the fuel mass.

  • Patent number: 6531018
Abstract: A method and an apparatus is disclosed for decorating cylindrical and non-cylindrical containers by a continuous process. The containers (1) are decollated and rotated on a transport path (5) as well as stopped and secured using a marking (30) on the container (1). The containers (1) are set in rotation at the transfer location (11) and brought into contact with a pressure head (6, 6′). A contact line is formed between the carrier conveyor (10) for the decors and the rotating container (1) which moves with the container (1) over a predetermined path. The apparatus provides a novel positioning device (13) for the containers (1) and to two embodiments of a pressure head (6, 6′).

  • Patent number: 6098689
Abstract: A method and device is disclosed for continuously decorating packages with convex surfaces is disclosed. The device includes a driveable continuous transport conveyor with uniformly spaced, driveable and rotating receiving means for the packages. It also includes a driveable continuous carrier conveyor with uniformly spaced decorations, and a contact region which forms a transfer location, having a region of the transfer location means for applying pressure onto the carrier conveyor in the direction of the packages and means for heating the decoration.

  • Patent number: 5224526
Abstract: Bottles, cans or other types of containers are filled with accurately metered quantities of a liquid by employing a number of discrete filling units which orbit about a vertical axis and are provided with metering chambers receiving liquid from a main source of supply. The metering chambers are overfilled with liquid, and the excess is collected and returned to the main source. The filling units and certain other parts (such as an annular vessel of the main source) of the apparatus can be of modular design to facilitate storage and transport of modules which are assembled into a container filling apparatus at the filling plant. The method and apparatus can be utilized with advantage for the admission of metered quantities of carbonated and/or pulp-containing beverages into bottles or cans.

  • Patent number: 5050369
Abstract: Freshly filled containers (such as cans for confinement of carbonated beverages which are admitted at an elevated pressure) are overlapped by caps or other suitable closures not later than at the point where they leave the filling unit of a combined filling and capping apparatus. The closures are maintained in alignment with and are pressed against the open tops of filled containers during advancement from the filling unit to the capping or sealing unit. This ensures that the confined liquid cannot be affected by atmospheric air and cannot escape from the respective containers irrespective of the distance of the filling unit from the capping or sealing unit.
