  • Patent number: 6186262
Abstract: In a wheel drive with a radial-piston motor (5) and a planet gear (4) a wheel hub (3) being placed on a wheel hub support (1) by means of wheel bearings (10). The wheel hub support (1) can be joined to a transmission connector (4) in a single piece and is fastened to a vehicle chassis support. A dog tooth brake (7) is located on the side of the wheel drive facing the vehicle and serves as parking brake. In a cover (2) for a hydraulic connection of the radial-piston motor (5) are integrated valves for control of the radial-piston motor (5) and of the brake (7). Short lines and delay times occur as result. The cover (2) contains inter alia a brake valve (58) for a hydraulic brake function and a displacement change-over valve (64) enabling certain cylinders (70) of the radial-piston motor (5) to be switched on or off.

  • Patent number: 6074083
Abstract: A hydrostatic-mechanical drive unit for a mixing drum, especially of a mobile concrete mixer has pistons (24) of a hydraulic motor (25) that are spring-loaded so as to constantly bear, via rollers (25), on a cam surface (26). With a hydraulic pump (2) stationary, the operating mode of the hydraulic motor (6) can be reversed. In order to reliably prevent further oscillation of the mixing drum, suction valves (32, 33) are connected to lines (4, 5) leading to the hydraulic motor (6) so that when the mode principle of the hydraulic motor (6) is reversed, oil can be inducted from an oil reservoir.

  • Patent number: 5992145
Abstract: The method for preventing the interruption of tension during connection and disconnection of a first hydraulic motor to and from the power train of vehicles, in particular loaders, consists in that during the disconnection of the first hydraulic motor the high-pressure line is connected with the low-pressure line thereof, a flow distributor is readjusted so that the amount of oil fed to the first hydraulic motor is not increased, the pressure on a second hydraulic motor not to be disconnected being raised to a new value which remains constant during the disconnection, of the first hydraulic motor, a pump is readjusted to the new required (reduced) flow rate; and after adjustment of the pump to the new flow rate, the connection of the high-pressure line with the low-pressure line of the first hydraulic motor is eliminated; and during the connection of the hydraulic motor said method steps are carried out in reverse sequence.

  • Patent number: 5814520
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, there is provided an isolated and purified DNA fragment comprising a DNA sequence encoding a plant decarboxylase. Preferably, the DNA sequence encodes a plant tryptophan decarboxylase, more preferably from Catharanthus roseus. A 1747 bp cDNA clone was isolated by antibody screening of a cDNA expression library produced from poly A.sup.+ RNA found in developing seedlings of C. roseus. The invention also includes DNA sequences encoding a plant tryptophan decarboxylase which are synthetically produced to correspond substantially to the isolated and purified DNA sequence encoding the same enzyme. The nucleotide sequence of the synthetic DNA sequence is determined on the basis of codon degeneracy.

  • Patent number: 5810691
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulic changing device for a multi-ratio vehicle transmission, especially for a commercial vehicle such as a mobile excavator. The hydraulic changing device feeds gear actuator (3, 4) with pressure medium conveyed by a servopump (10). There is a control slide (26) which is acted upon by the effect of a control spring (33), on the one hand, and by a pressure in a low-pressure chamber (23), on the other. The low-pressure chamber (23) is coupled to a low-pressure pump (20) operating in dependence upon the engine speed. The arrangement is completed by a shuttle valve (6) and a leakage valve (5). The pressure prevailing in the low-pressure chamber (23) actuates the control slide (26), against the force of the control spring (23), in such a way that undesired changes from a higher to a lower gear are prevented. The hydraulic changing device, of the invention, is advantageously distinguished by its low structural and design expenditures.

  • Patent number: 5779586
Abstract: A driving device, in particular for driving the wheels of a motor vehicle, is provided with a drive and a mechanical gear downstream thereof and two hydraulically shiftable friction clutches (3) or friction brakes (4) for connecting the drive with the gear and for carrying out the functions of a parking brake. The friction clutches (3) or friction brakes (4) are connected, by control pressure lines (27, 28), with auxiliary pistons (15, 16) cooperating therewith, and when the accumulator piston (7) is actuated by the gearshift pistons (15, 16), the volume of the accumulator piston (7) is supplied by the control pressure lines (27, 28) to the gearshift pistons (15, 16) in order to uncouple them.

  • Patent number: 5746509
Abstract: The invention concerns a hydrostatic-mechanical gear for driving a mixed drum and, in particular, the drum of a concrete mixer vehicle. Cooling is provided for by the continuous removal of oil from a high pressure circuit, via a connecting pipe, and the constant feeding of the cooled oil, which has passed through an oil cooler, to the interior of a gear housing via a pipe. This pipe discharges into the interior of the gear housing immediately proximate a hydraulic motor. The oil then flows through the hydraulic motor, which is preferably a slow-speed radial piston motor, to reduce the noise generation of the hydraulic motor.
