  • Patent number: 4999031
Abstract: CO.sub.2 and, if necessary, H.sub.2 S are removed from a gas which contains CO.sub.2 and may contain H.sub.2 S with an absorption liquid by a process in which the gas which contains CO.sub.2 and may contain H.sub.2 S is treated in an absorption zone with the absorption liquid, the treated gas is removed from the absorption zone, the absorption liquid which is obtained from the absorption zone and is laden with CO.sub.2 and may be laden with H.sub.2 S is then regenerated in that the said absorption liquid is let down in one or more let-down stages and a let-down gas is taken off at the top of the first let-down stage or, in the case of a plurality of let-down stages, at the top of one or more of the first to penultimate let-down stages, and the partially regenerated absorption liquid obtained from the last let-down stage is, if required, fed to a stripping zone for further regeneration, one or more acid gas streams which contain the CO.sub.2 and may contain H.sub.

  • Patent number: 4786384
Abstract: To provide for essentially uniform current density at the respective cathodes of an electrolytic cell, a plurality of cathodes are located, spaced from each other, at one side of an anode, and resistance elements connect the respective cathodes to a negative supply terminal or supply bus (N, 11), the resistance elements having respective resistance values which decrease as the distance of the respective cathode from the anode increases. A single anode (2), preferably separated from the cathode space (5) by an ion exchange membrane (6), can be located centrally within the cathodes; or two anodes can be located spaced from each other with a plurality of cathodes located therebetween. Each cathode is connected with a quick disconnect plug-or-push terminal to the respective current supply, which may be a controlled constant current source.

  • Patent number: 4075014
Abstract: The invention relates to a color-positive process for producing a color surface picture using color paper having diffusion-resistant and protected color couplers or plastic-coated or plastic uncoated color paper of color negatives, and features color developing the picture at a temperature in the range of from about 20.degree. C to about 50.degree. C with a developer having added thereto a development accelerator having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are H, CH.sub.3, or CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.3 and "n" is in the range of from 1 to 4, bleach fixing and stabilizing the picture in a solution having a pH from about 5.5 to about 6.0 without an intermediate step of washing or a stop-fixing bath, and thereafter, washing the picture.
