  • Patent number: 7676329
Abstract: The invention provides a method for grouping measurement data obtained by effecting two or more techniques to provide characterization data characterizing at least one sample with respect to characterizing substances. According to one aspect of the invention, the grouping is effected on the basis of at least one statistical distribution of deviations (?m/zi) of a respective characterizing measurement value. According to another aspect of the invention, the grouping is effected on the basis of at least one collective characteristic of a plurality of respective quantitative measurement values (Ii).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 22, 2005
Date of Patent: March 9, 2010
    Assignee: Roche Diagnostics Operations, Inc.
Inventors: Ursula Garczarek, Pavel Kubalec, Wolfgang Hösel

  • Patent number: 6635420
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for the purification of a target substance from a biological sample by immobilizing the target substance on a solid phase by means of a high affinity binding pair and subsequently eluting it by adding a partner of the binding pair in a free form. In addition reagent kits for carrying out the method are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6361955
Abstract: The invention concerns an immunological process for the determination of prostate-specific antigen (PSA), particularly for the determination of free PSA, the total concentration of PSA and the concentration of PSA-serpin complexes by incubation of the sample with at least one antibody specifically binding to free PSA but not to complex PSA. The process is characterized in that especially before the determination of the total PSA concentration a nucleophile containing amine is added to the sample. Furthermore, the invention concerns the use of amine-containing nucleophiles for the production of free PSA as well as a procedure for preparing free PSA from complex PSA by incubation of a sample containing complex PSA with a nucleophile containing amine.

  • Patent number: 6136545
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for the determination of an analyte in a sample liquid wherein the sample liquid is incubated with (a) a first receptor which binds to a first epitope that is only present once on the analyte and is immobilized on a particulate carrier material and (b) a second receptor which binds to a second epitope on the analyte and has at least two binding sites for the second epitope, the first epitope being different from the second epitope and the analyte is determined by means of the binding to both receptors.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 10, 1997
Date of Patent: October 24, 2000
    Assignee: Roche Diagnostics GmbH
    Inventors: Wolfgang Hosel, Wolfgang Mutter
  • Patent number: 5179004
Abstract: For the detection of compounds containing carbohydrate the compound to be detected is reacted with a conjugate which contains a group which enables a specific binding to the substance to be detected and contains a hapten with a molecular weight from 300 to 1200, afterwards the complex formed is brought into contact with labelled antibodies directed against the hapten and the label is determined in a known way.
