  • Publication number: 20170248066
Abstract: An active grille shutter for regulating airflow towards a vehicle heat exchanger. A frame adjacent the heat exchanger has a first mount with bores, a second mount, and an opening between the mounts to allow air to pass through. An end cap secures to the second mount and has bores. Vanes extend across the opening between opposing ends with a receiver at each end. Bearings are provided with couplers extending into and attached to the receivers, and a shafts extending into the bores. A linkage interconnects the bearings at one of the ends such that the vanes rotate concurrently. An actuator attached to the frame adjacent the first mount is coupled to one of the end cap bearings and rotation imparts rotation to the vanes by the linkage to concurrently rotate the vanes within the opening to regulate airflow through the opening towards the heat exchanger.

  • Patent number: 9279038
Abstract: Method for producing a cross-linked elastomer in which a mixture is produced comprising at least one latex and at least one starter component for initiating the cross-linking reaction or a latex that bears at least one starter component or starter group, in particular in liquid phase. A photoinitiator is used as a starter component, which photoinitiator, through irradiation with electromagnetic radiation in the ultraviolet (UV light) and/or visible spectral range forms a reactive species. The latex mixture is irradiated with UV light and/or visible light.

  • Publication number: 20150232219
Abstract: A method for filling packs with products, in particular for filling boxes with multipacks of cigarette packs in which several products are put together to form a product group. The completeness of the product group is detected by a first control device. Several product groups are put together by a handling device to form a group of product groups and are inserted into the pack, wherein the presence of the group in the pack and/or the completeness of the group of product groups is detected by a second control device. The feeding of groups to the pack is repeated where necessary until a provided number of groups have been filled into the pack, which corresponds to a required quantity of groups or product groups in the pack, and the presence of the groups in the pack is detected or documented by a control device, in particular the second control device.

  • Publication number: 20150024948
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and systems for the capture and enrichment of target nucleic acids and analysis of the enriched target nucleic acids for detecting balanced chromosomal aberrations including translocations and inversions. The present disclosure provides for the enrichment of targeted sequences in a format whereby one fusion partner gene on a capturing platform is represented to allow subsequent sequencing of chimeric nucleic acids (i.e., nucleic acid strands that carry information on different DNA regions of a genome). Such a design enables identification of novel fusion partner genes occurring as a result of a chromosomal translocation or inversion.

  • Patent number: 8673993
Abstract: The invention relates to method for producing a crosslinked elastomer by radiating a polymer dispersion of at least one crosslinkable polymer with electromagnetic radiation in the ultraviolet (UV light) and/or visible spectral range, wherein the crosslinking is performed in at least two stages as pre-crosslinking and post-crosslinking and at least one photoinitiator is added to the polymer dispersion to trigger the crosslinking reaction prior to the pre-crosslinking. At least one photoinitiator is added once again to the pre-crosslinked polymer dispersion prior to and/or during the post-crosslinking, and the post-crosslinking is also performed with electromagnetic radiation in the ultraviolet (UV light) and/or visible spectral range.
