  • Publication number: 20020000737
Abstract: An actuation arrangement for hinged components of vehicle tops, particularly convertible top hoops or covers for convertible tops, whereby the hinged components are pivotably mounted on the vehicle on at least one main bearing and whereby the actuation arrangement has at least one direct or indirect rotary drive engaging thereon with an indirectly or directly driven rotary shaft. The rotary shaft (W) of the rotary drive (D) is structurally integrated into the main bearing (H) of the hinged component (S, K) of the vehicle top system whereby the main bearing (H) is provided with a receiving or bearing structure (2) for the rotary shaft (W) of the rotary drive (D) to create a simple construction, which produces a constant moment while requiring a small mounting space and having a low weight and which is possibly suited for any swing angle in principle.

  • Publication number: 20010008345
Abstract: An actuation arrangement for hinged components on vehicles such as rear covers, trunk lids, covers for convertible tops or convertible top components themselves, having at least one fluid drive engaging the hinged component directly or indirectly, the fluid drive of the arrangement driving a rotary shaft (W) to realize a constant moment at a small mounting space as wells as a suitable configuration for principally any rotation angle. The rotary shaft, which lies in the swiveling axis (A) of the hinged component (V), is non-rotatably connected to the hinged component (V), possibly via an interconnected lever (H).

  • Patent number: 6041691
Abstract: Two working cylinders are provided, a pressure medium connector being secured to a first cylinder and allowing fluid to flow to and from the first cylinder through the connector. A distributor is connected to the connector and has first and second ports through which pressure medium can flow. The second port is connected to the second cylinder. The first port is connected through the connector to the first working cylinder and is also connected to the second port. The first port is connected to a source of pressure medium and when pressure medium flows to or from the first port, pressure medium also flows through the connector to or from the first working cylinder as well as to or from the second port and the second working cylinder to cause the first and second working cylinders to operate simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 5957031
Abstract: In order to facilitate a simple and cost-effective manufacture of a hydraulic cylinder, the cylinder tube (3) is provided as smooth stock with connectors (9) set up, preferably stud-welded, for the hydraulic attachments (1,2). Assembly parts provided in the cylindrical tube (3), such as the base (10), seal (7), guide casing (8) and fixing device (4), are held inside the cylindrical tube (3) by means of non-cut, indented locking regions (11, 12, 13).

  • Patent number: 5375507
Abstract: To connect the cylinder pipe (1) of a hydraulic cylinder to a bottom (6), and a cover (8), the bottom (6) and cover (8) have groove-shaped recesses (16, 17), into which are pressed the ends (5, 7) of the cylinder pipe (1) under permanent deformation. To enable pressurization at high operating pressures, the region (25) of the inner end of the non-deformed cylinder pipe (1) is defined as a holding region (18, 19) and has a turned groove (26) which, in the deformed state of the cylinder pipe (1), reaches over the related inner edge (27) of the groove-shaped recesses (16, 17) with respect to the longitudinal stretch of the cylinder pipe (1).
