  • Patent number: 5949659
Abstract: An arrangement for the galvanically isolated transmission of auxiliary power (direct voltage) and information to an electronic unit having a switched-mode power supply, comprising a transformer whereby the primary winding can be connected to a direct voltage by means of a switching arrangement that can be actuated by a control circuit. To enable a comparatively cost-effective manufacturing of such an arrangement, the control circuit in accordance with the present invention actuates the switching arrangement in accordance with information (primary information) to be transmitted to the secondary side of the switched-mode power supply. An evaluation circuit that detects the primary information is connected to a circuit point between the secondary winding of the transformer and the usual rectifier element.

  • Patent number: 4514798
Abstract: Disclosed is a control apparatus having an indicator and a control which are used to display and change two different types of parameters in two modes of operation of the apparatus. The apparatus includes a control panel and a movable panel which can be moved to alternately overlay and expose at least a portion of the control panel. Switch means are provided to condition the apparatus to operate in a first mode in which the indicator displays a first type of parameter and the control selects or adjusts the value of the first parameter while the apparatus is automatically prevented from operating in a second mode of operation. The switch means further conditions the apparatus to operate in the second mode in which the indicator displays a second type of parameter and the control selects or adjusts the value of the second parameter while the apparatus is automatically prevented from operating in the first mode.

  • Patent number: 4497038
Abstract: An electronic controller having a detachably mounted front panel unit on which display devices and control elements are arranged is disclosed. By means of the control elements, the process variables and the control parameters are changed incrementally. Values of the control parameter, process variables, and the selected control parameter are indicated by the display devices. To provide a compact, independent front panel unit which can be removed from the main housing of the controller for protection against unauthorized operation, the front panel unit is provided with a slave microprocessor which is connected via a plug-in connector to a master microprocessor in the main housing. Because the master microprocessor operates independently of the front panel mounted slave microprocessor, the front panel unit can be removed without affecting the operation of the controller.

  • Patent number: 4225936
Abstract: A function generator comprising an oscillator, an address counter, a storage matrix with 2.sup.n addresses at m bits, and a digital to analog converter in which the storage matrix which is organized only according to the change which is maximally obtained between adjacent addresses of the function to be produced with integrating means coupled between the storage matrix and the output of the function generator for generating, for instance, nonlinear periodic processes or the nonlinear representation of electrical analog variables.

  • Patent number: 4198575
Abstract: A circuit arrangement comprising first and second frequency dividers which are responsive to the output signal of a clock generator and to control signals. The circuit arrangement further includes means for generating an analog signal corresponding to the phase difference between the frequency divider output signals. By varying the control signals, the aforesaid phase difference and, hence, the generated analog signal corresponding thereto can be varied.

  • Patent number: 4095203
Abstract: An arrangement for obtaining an electrical signal corresponding to a distance comprising a conductor loop which is adapted to be arranged in a magnetic a-c field with its plane transverse to the field and which is formed into first and second conductor sections. The conductor sections extend from the respective ends of the loop to a stationary member and the arrangement is further provided with a movable adjusting means whose movement corresponds to the aforesaid distance. The adjusting means is arranged so that a first portion of the first conductor section extends from its respective loop end to the adjusting means and a second portion thereof extends from the adjusting means to the stationary member. The adjusting means is further provided with a deflecting means for offsetting the second conductor portion from the first conductor portion.

  • Patent number: 4019146
Abstract: There is shown two frequency dividers with the same division ratio connected through first and second logic gate members to a clock generator. The phase difference between the outputs of the frequency dividing networks is proportional to the analog signal to be stored. Alternative circuit means are described for connecting the phase difference to a reference signal for comparing with a "new" analog signal. The comparison provides one of two logic conditions, depending on the relative magnitude of the signal represented by the phase difference at the output of the dividing networks and the "new " analog signal to be stored. These logic conditions operate one of respective ones of said first and second logic gate members to alter the flow of pulses into the respective dividing network, whereby the phase difference between the output of the dividing networks is now proportional to the "new" analog signal.
