    Abstract: A sealing device for sealing a through opening in a vehicle chassis includes a sealing element that can be shifted between an open position, in which the through opening is released, and a closed position, in which the through opening can be closed. The sealing device has an adjusting device which includes a guide housing that can be arranged in a spatially fixed manner on the vehicle chassis, in which guide housing a carrier element is translationally and pivotably guided, where the carrier element has the sealing element. A slide guide is provided, via which the carrier element can be translationally shifted and pivoted in relation to the guide housing. A traction element is translationally entrainably connected to the carrier element, and simultaneously connected in a rotationally decoupled manner, via a pivot bearing. The traction element is translationally shiftable by the drive.
