  • Publication number: 20240125683
Abstract: A testing device for testing a surface of a test object using an abrasion ribbon and a load body. The abrasion ribbon is guided from a provision device through a testing area, in which the abrasion ribbon can come into contact with the surface of the test object under the influence of the load body onto the abrasion ribbon, to a take-up device. The take-up device has a drive for moving the abrasion ribbon using the take-up device.

  • Patent number: 5992224
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for determining the deformability of the surface of a test specimen. Firstly, by scanning along a line on the surface with a lightly loaded stylus, the surface texture of the specimen is measured. Secondly, the same line is traversed with a loaded indenter such that the surface of the specimen is penetrated. Finally, the same line is traversed again with a lightly loaded stylus to record the new surface texture.
