  • Patent number: 11628954
Abstract: An assembly system for an automated internal assembly on a curved assembly surface of an aircraft fuselage includes two assembly rails shaped in accordance with a curvature of the assembly surface such that they follow a longitudinal direction or a peripheral direction of the aircraft fuselage, so that the assembly rails are fastenable in the aircraft fuselage, along the longitudinal direction or along the peripheral direction of the aircraft fuselage, parallel to one another and parallel to the assembly surface of the aircraft fuselage; an assembly slide configured to slide along the assembly rails; and a tool supported by the assembly slide and configured to perform an assembly step; wherein the assembly slide has an assembly axis, along which the tool is movable relative to the assembly slide; and wherein the assembly axis is configured such that it follows the curvature of the assembly surface of the aircraft fuselage.

  • Publication number: 20230095178
Abstract: A tool for repeatedly feeding individual fasteners from a fastener supply includes a receiver, a guide, a flexible, linear thruster, an electric drive, an activator, and a feeder with a dispenser. The guide extends along a curved guide track from the receiver into the feeder and terminates at the dispenser. Along the guide track the guide has a substantially constant opening cross section radially defined by a guide element relative to the guide track to guide the fasteners directly adjacent to one another along the guide track. The thruster extends from the receiver into the guide and has an external cross section adapted to the opening cross section and configured to be moved in a guided manner by the drive in the guide along the guide track. The drive is coupled to the activator and moves the thruster in the direction of the dispenser when the activator is actuated.

  • Publication number: 20190184533
Abstract: A tool for pulling a fastener into a through opening, which is formed in two or more superposed parts to be joined, comprising: a main body, which has a supporting surface for supporting the tool on a surface of one part to be joined, and a pulling body for moving the fastener relative to the main body, wherein the pulling body can be moved from a first into a second position relative to the main body in a pulling direction perpendicular to the supporting surface, and a clamping device, formed on the pulling body, for clamping an outer section of the fastener, which projects beyond the opening in one part to be joined, wherein the extent of the main body perpendicular to the supporting surface, and the path of movement of the pulling body are shorter than four times the clamping clearance of the clamping device.
