  • Patent number: 11050607
Abstract: An example method for processing a client request includes determining a set of functions to invoke for processing an initial request sent by a client to an application. The set of functions includes a function stored at a server. The method also includes invoking, by a proxy, the function at the server. The server provides the function as a function as a service (FAAS) for invocation by one or more third parties. The method further includes sending, by the proxy, a processed request to the application. The processed request is based on a result of the function. The method also includes receiving, by the proxy, a response to the processed request from the application.

  • Publication number: 20050164605
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for surface working of a body having a first surface to be worked and a second surface to be worked. The method includes, in a first step, providing a first tool and a second tool, in a second step, placing the body between the first tool and the second tool, and, in a third step, working the first surface and the second surface. The first surface is worked by a first working surface of the first tool, the first working surface having a first central area. The second surface is worked by a second working surface of the second tool, the second working surface having a second central area. In the third step, the second tool lies opposite to the first tool to form a working gap, the working gap mainly extending in a working gap plane.

  • Patent number: 6198579
Abstract: In a process for the correction of non-rotationally-symmetrical image errors in an assembly, e.g., an objective with optical elements, particularly lenses, several Peltier elements are arranged on at least one of the optical elements, distributed over its periphery, and are differently driven electrically in order to act on the temperature distribution in the optical element. A respective temperature-conducting connection is provided between the Peltier elements and the optical element. The invention also relates to an objective with optical elements, particularly lenses, and Peltier elements.

  • Patent number: 5544186
Abstract: A gas laser 1 such as a .sup.13 CO.sub.2 -laser emits at two different wavelengths (.lambda..sub.1, .lambda..sub.2) with a sine-shaped adjustment of a resonator mirror or a grating 13 such as a Littrow grating. The gas laser emits radiation at the two desired wavelengths (.lambda..sub.1, .lambda..sub.2) in two mutually adjacent intervals of the resonator length L because of a suitable dimensioning of the grating 13 with respect to grating structure and angle position, the outcoupling factor of the outcoupling mirror 12, the resonator length L and the composition of the gas of the laser. The laser emission is inhibited at the crossover between the two intervals and the sine-shaped modulation (for example with a piezo element) of the resonator length L is essentially symmetrical about this crossover. The invention is also directed to an arrangement for detecting a substance such as NH.sub.3 in a flue gas.

  • Patent number: 4933945
Abstract: The invention is directed to a laser arrangement for converting frequency wherein the fundamental frequency or the converted frequency can be selectively emitted by means of an optical element which can be pivoted into and out of the beam path. An especially slim configuration of the overall arrangement is obtained with the aid of an additional deflection element.

  • Patent number: 4146684
Abstract: An electrochemical storage cell or battery based on an alkali metal and sulfur having at least one anode chamber and at least one cathode chamber separated from each other by an ion-conducting solid electrolyte, and felt with course-pores and/or low electric conductivity and felt with fine-pores and/or higher electric conductivity located in the cathode chamber, with the felt of coarse-pores and/or low conductivity disposed near the solid electrolyte and the felt of fine-pores and/or higher conductivity disposed further away from the solid electrolyte. This permits rapid and more complete recharging of the cell for covering peak loads in electrical networks.
