Patent number: 5495063Abstract: In order to work up pyrotechnical material, I. the pyrotechnical material is burned in a controlled manner, the slag is optionally allowed to continue reacting and the crude gas formed is passed through a high-temperature region in which the gas is exposed to a temperature of at least 1200.degree. C. over a predetermined period in order to decompose organic substances still present; II. the crude gas formed during the combustion is cooled to a temperature below 400.degree. C.; III. the crude gas is purified under dry conditions by first feeding it into a preliminary separator, coarse particles being separated off, and then feeding the crude gas via fine dust filters in order to separate off finely divided solids and/or IV. the crude gas is optionally purified under wet conditions by first passing it through a rotary scrubber and then passing it via one or more absorption units and V. the purified gas is released as waste air.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 1993Date of Patent: February 27, 1996Assignee: Buck Werke GmbH & Co.Inventors: Hans E. Magenheimer, Roland Traute, Wolfgang Simon

Patent number: 5249359Abstract: A method of producing a finely structured body which includes a plurality of stacked, cut sections of foil at least one of which is provided with grooves in a selected groove direction on at least one surface thereof, and which has a plurality of closely juxtaposed, channel-like perforations with high shape accuracy, true dimensions and high surface quality. The method includes: a. providing a vacuum clamping means comprised of a ground, sintered metal plate which is connected to a vacuum source and which is positioned on a work table which is movable in two mutually perpendicular directions X and Y; b. positioning a machinable foil on the ground, sintered metal plate and clamping the machinable foil thereto by applying an effective amount of vacuum; c.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 1992Date of Patent: October 5, 1993Assignees: Kernforschungszentrum Karlsruhe GmbH, Messerschmidt-Bolkow-BlohmInventors: Klaus Schubert, Wilhelm Bier, Gerd Linder, Peter Schmid, Peter Bichler, Winfried Brunner, Wolfgang Simon

Patent number: 5152060Abstract: A method of producing a finely structured body comprised of a plurality of stacked, cut sections of foil at least one of which is provided with grooves. A machinable foil is wrapped around a cylindrical mandrel of a lathe to overlap opposing edges. The overlapped edges are clamped into an axial recess of the cylindrical mandrel by means of a clamping means and a plurality of grooves cut into the surface of the foil by means of at least one shaping diamond positioned in a feed which is finely adjustable. The plurality of grooves each have a groove length, a groove width, and a cross-sectional shape that is constant over the groove length and is freely selectable. Then, the grooved machinable foil is cut into cut sectoins and the cut sections are stacked. The plurality of grooves have a form precision such that, for groove lengths of more than 1000 .mu.m, the groove width has an accuracy of about .+-.1 .mu.m for land widths which equal or exceed about 15 .mu.m.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 1991Date of Patent: October 6, 1992Assignees: Kernforschungszentrum Karlsruhe GmbH, Messerschmidt-Bolkow-BlohmInventors: Klaus Schubert, Wilhelm Bier, Gerd Linder, Peter Schmid, Peter Bichler, Winfried Brunner, Wolfgang Simon

Patent number: 4287043Abstract: An apparatus for electrodepositing a layer of predetermined layer thickness has an anode supplied with DC voltage by a converter device. A programmable computer having inputs for the desired value of the layer thickness and for technological parameters, such as anode index and area factor, cyclically sums the current charge as the integral of current from digitized sampling values of the anodes current and determines therefrom the actual value of the layer thickness. When the desired thickness value is reached, the converter device is disconnected.Type: GrantFiled: February 13, 1980Date of Patent: September 1, 1981Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Werner Eckert, Wolfgang Simon
