  • Patent number: 6863417
Abstract: This invention provides an optically controlled dimmer (optically controlled light adjustment device), more particularly, an optically controlled dimmer having a mechanism capable of detecting light reflected from an object in a short distance and to cause a driving circuit to perform ON-OFF action and to adjust the intensity of light in several stages. The mechanism includes an ultra red ray transmitter to perform the control. A transmitter and a receiver are disposed in parallel in a recess of a casing having a panel. The panel has one hole for transmitting control signal light, and another hole for receiving reflected signal light. The dimmer can be activated by blocking the signal light transmitted from the dimmer by hand, to produce a reflected signal light to be received by the receiver. The received reflected signal light is reformed by a stage control circuit and a switching circuit to perform ON-OFF actions. As a result, the intensity of light is controlled in stages.

  • Patent number: 6160582
Abstract: In a method for the manipulation of an operating theater lamp, control signals are conducted via a signal path which is conducted in the interior of the lamp between an operating unit and at least one setting element. The control signals are modulated via a modulator onto a carrier signal and demodulated back from the latter via a demodulator.

  • Patent number: 5971981
Abstract: The invention provides a radiofrequency surgical apparatus comprising a high frequency generator having at least one active electrode output and at least one neutral electrode output to which a part neutral electrode of a neutral electrode pair can be connected, with individual electrodes of the neutral electrode pair being connected to an auxiliary voltage with a significantly lower frequency than the high frequency. A monitoring circuit produces from the auxiliary voltage and the auxiliary current flowing between the part neutral electrodes an impedance signal representative for the impedance between the two part neutral electrodes and transmits a high frequency generator blocking signal and/or an alarm signal on exceeding a first fixed upper alarm limit and/or a lower second upper alarm limit for the impedance signal which can be matched to the actual value of the impedance signal. The adaptation of the second alarm limit is effected by pressing a SET key.

  • Patent number: 5951545
Abstract: A high-frequency surgical apparatus has a plurality of different operating modes, such as monopolar, tripolar, bipolar, at least one function such as cutting, coagulation in each operating mode and at least one operating mode with several functions and also at least one characteristic within each function which can be selected by one switching key in each case. In accordance with the invention an operating mode selection key is provided for each operating mode. At least some of the switching keys are associated with several operating mode selection keys. On actuating at least one of the operating mode selection keys several of the switching keys are blocked.

  • Patent number: 5925044
Abstract: A trocar for laparoscopic operations on patients has a tube and high frequency connections in the region of the front end of the tube which can be connected to a high frequency generator. A cutting bar is axially displaceable in the tube and can be fixed in a cutting position. The high frequency connections and electrosurgical cutting device connected to the latter are arranged at the front end of the cutting bar.
