  • Patent number: 7374164
Abstract: A configuration for the transport and simultaneous alignment of sheets has a straightedge, at least one conveyor belt disposed slightly at an angle to the straightedge in the direction of movement of the sheets, and an air suction device. The conveyor belt exhibits open transverse slots on its upper side carrying the sheets. The upper half of the conveyor belt runs in a guide channel that is open in an upward direction, and the transverse slots are connected to the air suction device in such a way as to permit the flow to take place. A controller is provided to control the supply of air in the area of the transverse slots.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: May 20, 2008
    Assignee: Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG
Inventors: Eberhard Gaissert, Wolfram Hofmann, Lars Rathjen, RĂ¼diger Schlien

  • Patent number: 5890713
Abstract: A device for forming a sheet pile in a delivery of a sheet-fed printing press includes jogging plates for jogging edges of the sheet. The jogging plates are disposed perpendicularly to a lateral surface of the sheet pile and are drivable so as to move in a stationary sheet guide and to a sheet stop, respectively. The jogging plates are elastically suspended, without any other guide elements, in at least one of the stationary sheet guides and the sheet stop. An oscillation exciter is connected to each of the jogging plates for respectively oscillating and vibrating the jogging plates independently of a cycle of the delivery.

  • Patent number: 5671918
Abstract: Sheet delivery for a sheet-processing machine includes a conveyor system for transporting sheets successively and for releasing the sheets above a sheet pile having a horizontal surface, and a plurality of ventilators or air blowers having a controllable output, the ventilators being disposed in an array above the horizontal surface of the sheet pile for directing blown air from above the sheet pile towards respective oncoming sheets successively transported by the conveyor system and released thereby above the sheet pile, the ventilators being high-speed ventilators constructed for small air volumes and blowing, at a high flow rate, a concentrated air jet with laminar flow substantially vertically from above against the respective oncoming sheets.

  • Patent number: 5023257
Abstract: Ciprofloxacin and related gyrase inhibitors are tolerated well if administered intramuscularly in the form of an aqueous suspension of the betaine form having an approximate neutral pH value or in the form of an oily suspension of the betaine or salts thereof. Oily suspensions which contain the active material in water-soluble form, eventually in form of the hydrochlorides, lactates, mesilates, methanesulfonates and other salts, are capable of releasing the active compound very rapidly, particularly when the wettability of the oily carrier medium is increased by addition of interfacially surface active materials.
