  • Patent number: 11717336
Abstract: An electrosurgical generator capable of supplying energy in a waveform that causes electroporation in biological tissue. The electrosurgical generator may comprise an electroporation waveform supply unit that is integrated with an electromagnetic signal supply unit for generating microwave electromagnetic signals and radiofrequency electromagnetic signals for treatment. The electrosurgical generator may be configured to deliver different types of energy along a common feed cable. The electroporation waveform supply unit comprises a DC power supply and a DC pulse generator. The DC power supply may include a DC-DC converter for up-converting a voltage output by an adjustable voltage supply. • Patent number: 11300235
Abstract: A connection apparatus for enabling connection of one or more fluid lines to a flow control system is provided. The apparatus includes, for the or each fluid line, a connector defining a flow channel extending therethrough along an axis. The fluid flow line can be coupled to one end of the flow channel, and the connector further defines a shoulder providing an outer bearing surface extending circumferentially around the axis and curving along the axis. The apparatus further includes first and second plates configured to be clamped together with the connector to fix the connector therebetween. The first and second plates together define, for the or each connector, a space for supporting the shoulder with the connector in situ. The the inner surface of the space is curved to allow the connector to pivot relative to the plates on the bearing surface.

  • Patent number: 9046290
Abstract: An energy management system for use with a temperature controlled unit for food or beverages. A sensor is provided that comprises means to measure a temperature in the temperature controlled unit, and means to transmit wirelessly the measured temperature to a controller. The controller comprising a memory for storing data, and a processor arranged to control electric power to the temperature controlled unit on the basis of a combination of the measured temperature and the stored data. The stored data defines at least two time periods in which a first temperature is required in the first time period, and a second, different temperature is required during the second time period.

  • Patent number: 5871507
Abstract: A heart stimulator, operable for single-chamber and/or dual-chamber pacing, includes a first unipolar electrical lead placeable in the atrium of a heart, and a second unipolar electrical lead placeable in the ventricle of the heart. In the heart stimulator, a differential detector is connected to each of these unipolar leads and detects a differential signal representative of cardiac activity between the atrial electrode and the ventricular electrode. The differential signal is supplied to decision logic which evaluates each of those outputs including using a morphology analysis, if necessary. Depending on the type of cardiac activity identified as a result of the evaluation, the decision logic supplies a signal to a control unit in the heart stimulator to cause the therapy administered by the heart stimulator to be altered as warranted. The decision logic may also derive a respiration signal from the differential signal, which can also be used to modify the administered therapy.
