Abstract: Provided is a computer-implemented method for dynamically designating a settlement window for a transaction within a settlement cycle between an acquirer and an issuer. The method includes receiving a plurality of transaction records associated with a plurality of transactions, determining a first settlement window of a plurality of settlement windows to assign a transaction record of the plurality of transaction records, assigning the transaction record of the plurality of transaction records to the first settlement window based on determining the first settlement window of the plurality of settlement windows to assign the transaction record, and performing a settlement function for a transaction associated with the transaction record assigned to the first settlement window based on assigning the transaction record of the plurality of transaction records to the first settlement window. A system and computer program product are also disclosed.

In accordance with embodiments of the disclosure, a transaction code is generated and provided to the connected device. The transaction code may be stored in association with the information for the transaction such that when the transaction code is received at a transaction processing server, the transaction processing server is configured to generate an authorization request that includes the transaction information. The authorization request may then be routed to an authorization server associated with an account maintained by the transaction processing server.

Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems pertaining to the verification of portable consumer devices for 3-D Secure Systems are disclosed. In one implementation, a verification token is coupled to a computer by a USB connection so as to use the computer's networking facilities. The verification token reads identification information from a user's portable consumer device (e.g., credit card) and sends the information to a validation entry over a communications network using the computer's networking facilities. The validation entity applies one or more validation tests to the information that it receives from the verification token. If a selected number of tests are passed, the validation entity sends a 3-D Secure datum to the verification token. The verification token may enter the 3-D Secure datum into a hidden field of a Purchase Authentication Page appearing on the computer's display.

Abstract: Methods and systems pertaining secure transaction systems are disclosed. In one implementation, a merchant server payment information from a user computer. The merchant server can transmit a verification request to a gateway as well as receive a verification response from the gateway. The merchant server can transmit an authentication request and receive an authentication response. After receiving the authentication response, the merchant server can initiate an authorization process.

Abstract: A system is provided for determining a level of alertness of a subject, using a physiological sensor for providing physiological sensor signals which distinguish between a sleep state and an awake state of the subject. Sleep sessions are identified and their associated falling asleep and waking up times. A single representative midsleep time is obtained from multiple sleep sessions over a 24 hour period, and a circadian phase is estimated using the single representative midsleep time. A level of alertness is then obtained from the circadian phase. This system avoids the need for the use of a default circadian phase when determining a level of alertness. The system can more accurately estimate sleepiness for individuals that have irregular sleep patterns such as shift workers or people with sleep disorders. The single representative midsleep time is also able to take account of multiple sleep sessions, i.e. naps or periods of restless sleep.
