  • Patent number: 11910201
Abstract: A customer location is identified that can be served by a base-station in a fixed wireless communication system. Embodiments of the invention generate a viewshed for an antenna of the base-station, compute an area of a rooftop at the customer location that is included in the generated viewshed, and identify the customer location as able to be served, or not, by the base-station, based on the area of the rooftop at the customer location that is included in the generated viewshed. Further, a parcel of land on which to install a fixed wireless communication base-station can be identified. Each candidate base-station parcel of land in a list (“candidate base-station locations”) is evaluated and ranked. An evaluated candidate base-station location having a particular ranking is selected as the location on which to install the base-station.

  • Patent number: 10366413
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure are directed towards managing sponsored online content based upon advertiser behavior. Defining mini-markets to represent such advertiser behavior may be accomplished by clustering queries that generate revenue from one or more campaigns. Query revenue data between queries and a set of campaigns may be used to determine such mini-markets. To illustrate, a query whose highest revenue is attributed to a campaign may be selected for that campaign's mini-market. When that query is entered as a search term, the campaign's mini-market helps allocate space for advertisements.

  • Publication number: 20130346219
Abstract: Methods and systems for estimating the value of a contextual ad impression are provided. Requests for value-based bids for ad impressions are received from bidders and the value of the ad impression is estimated based primarily upon leveraging sell-side data (user and publisher). The estimation is highly economized through a fast implementation of k-nearest-neighbor (kNN) regression. Embodiments of the present invention further address the cold-start problem or the exploration vs. exploitation requirement by Bayesian (hierarchical) smoothing using a beta prior, and adapt to the temporal dynamics using an autoregressive model to decay importance of certain data.

  • Patent number: 8010394
Abstract: A system and method to facilitate inventory forecasting of network traffic for a network-based entity are described. In one example, the method includes preprocessing historical data to obtain processed average data, applying modeling and forecasting techniques to the processed average data using a seasonal auto-regressive integrated moving average process to obtain forecasting results, and combining the forecasting results to output combined forecasting data, wherein the combining the forecasting results comprises receiving and storing yearly forecast results. In one implementation, the historical data is normalized by weekly average to obtain normalized data. In another implementation, trend and seasonality are removed from a set of processed data to obtain stationary data. In yet another implementation, yearly forecast results are received and stored.
