Abstract: It is provided with an information processing method and device. The method is applied to a first electronic device with a first displaying unit. The method comprises: establishing a video transmitting channel between the first electronic device and a second electronic device; collecting local 3D image data in a designated space of the first electronic device; determining a first position of the user at the first electronic device in the designated space at the current moment based on the local 3D images; receiving source 3D image data transmitted by the second electronic device via the video transmitting channel; obtaining to-be-displayed images corresponding to the first position from source 3D images corresponding to the source 3D image data; and displaying the to-be-displayed images in a displaying area of the first displaying unit.

Abstract: A user input device is described. In an embodiment the user input device is hand held and comprises a sensing strip to detect one-dimensional motion of a user's finger or thumb along the sensing strip and to detect position of a user's finger or thumb on the sensing strip. In an embodiment the sensed data is used for cursor movement and/or text input at a master device. In an example the user input device has an orientation sensor and orientation of the device influences orientation of a cursor. For example, a user may move the cursor in a straight line in the pointing direction of the cursor by sliding a finger or thumb along the sensing strip. In an example, an alphabetical scale is displayed and a user is able to zoom into the scale and select letters for text input using the sensing strip.

Abstract: An optical flow of depth video of a depth camera imaging a human subject is recognized. An energy field created by motion of the human subject is generated as a function of the optical flow and specified rules of a physical simulation of the virtual environment. The energy field is mapped to a virtual position in the virtual environment. A property of a virtual object in the virtual environment is adjusted based on a plurality of energy elements of the energy field in response to the virtual object interacting with the virtual position of the energy field.

Abstract: A multi-touch orientation sensing input device may enhance task performance efficiency. The multi-touch orientation sensing input device may include a device body that is partially enclosed or completely enclosed by a multi-touch sensor. The multi-touch orientation sensing input device may further include an inertia measurement unit that is disposed on the device body, The inertia measurement unit may measures a tilt angle of the device body with respect to a horizontal surface, as well as a roll angle of the device body along a length-wise axis of the device body with respect to an initial point on the device body.

Abstract: An extension apparatus of a power outlet includes a main body and a socket. The main body includes a plug portion and an extension plug portion. The plug portion defines three through holes. The extension plug portion defines three blind holes. Three first metal pieces are mounted in the through holes. Three second metal pieces are mounted in the blind holes and coupled to the first metal pieces. The socket is plugged into the extension plug portion to be coupled to the plug portion. When a first plug is plugged into the plug portion, electrical power is fed to a second plug.

Abstract: Techniques for presenting multiple content items on a display without hardware modification. These techniques determine a first angle relative to the display at which a first content item is to be shown and a second content item is to be hidden. The techniques also determine a second angle at which the first content item is to be hidden and the second content item shown. The techniques then compute a first pair of pixel values having a contrast that is less than a threshold at the first angle and a second pair of pixel values having a contrast that is less than the threshold at the second angle. The techniques then render the content items such that the first content item is perceivable at the first angle and hidden at the second angle, while the second content item is hidden at the first angle and perceivable at the second angle.

Abstract: A locking apparatus includes a first threaded member, a second threaded, two pins, an alarm, and a micro-control unit. When the second threaded member engages in the first threaded member, the micro-control unit deactivates the alarm. When the second threaded shank disengages from the first threaded member, the micro-control unit activates the alarm.

Abstract: A temperature detecting apparatus for adjusting heat dissipating angle of a fan according to status of heat sources, includes detection module, a comparison module, a control module, and a driver module. The detection module detects temperatures of the heat sources, and converts the detected temperatures to voltage signals. The comparison module receives the voltage signals, and compares the voltage signals with a reference voltage to output control signals. The control module receives the control signals, and turns on according to the control signals. The driver module drives a plurality of air guiding fins rotating thereon. A direction of current flowing through the driver module is adjustable when the control module turns on. The driver module drives the air guiding fins turning toward to guide air flowing to one of the heat sources according to the direction of the current.

Abstract: A desktop computer includes a host portion, a network interface card and a first interface. The network interface card includes a first pin, a second pin, and a third pin. The first interface includes a fourth pin connected to both the second and third pins of the network interface card, and a fifth pin connected to the first pin. The screen includes a second interface connected to the first interface, a first LED, and a second LED. The second interface includes a sixth pin connected to the fourth pin, and a seventh pin connected to the fifth pin. The seventh pin is connected to a power supply through the first LED. The sixth pin is connected to the power supply through the second LED. When there is communication through a network connection, the first LED and the fourth LED to flash synchronously.

Abstract: Animation creation is described, for example, to enable children to create, record and play back stories. In an embodiment, one or more children are able to create animation components such as characters and backgrounds using a multi-touch panel display together with an image capture device. For example, a graphical user interface is provided at the multi-touch panel display to enable the animation components to be edited. In an example, children narrate a story while manipulating animation components using the multi-touch display panel and the sound and visual display is recorded. In embodiments image analysis is carried out automatically and used to autonomously modify story components during a narration. In examples, various types of handheld view-finding frames are provided for use with the image capture device. In embodiments saved stories can be restored from memory and retold from any point with different manipulations and narration.

The sensors detect objects and movement thereto and issue signals accordingly, the processor controlling the display to turn off after a set period without movement, and turn on again according to the detection of further movement, to save unnecessary display power.

Abstract: A method for testing electronic devices that are correspondingly connected to test units includes generating control signals for the electronic devices that are connected to one or more test units selected from the test units. A control unit adds ID codes corresponding to the selected test units to the control signals, and wirelessly transmits the control signals with the ID codes to all of the test units. Each of the test units compares the ID codes added to the control signals with its own stored ID code. When the ID code added to a control signal is in accordance with the ID code stored in one of the test units, the test unit controls the electronic device connected thereto to be turned on and off according to the control signal.

Abstract: A computer includes a mother board, a standby power source, a BIOS display, and a BIOS user input. The mother board includes a storage unit. The storage unit stores BIOS software and BIOS settings of the computer. The standby power source is configured for providing a standby voltage when the computer is powered but not started up. The controller is configured for reading the BIOS software and the BIOS settings from the storage unit, driving the BIOS display to display a BIOS UI based upon the BIOS software and the BIOS setting, and editing the BIOS settings based upon inputs from the BIOS input unit upon the condition that the controller, the BIOS display, and the BIOS input unit receive the standby voltage.

Abstract: A sketching and searching application for idea generation is described. In an embodiment, a software application is described which has a user interface which comprises a sketching area. When a user draws or annotates a sketch in the application, the application automatically searches for images based on the sketch and displays results in the form of images outside the sketching area. These images are used to inspire new ideas and to facilitate the creative process in a way that is closely linked with the sketching process. When the sketch is updated, additional searching is automatically performed and new results are displayed. In some examples the sketching area is deformable and deformation may cause new results to be displayed and in some examples the user is able to drag image results into the sketching area to enable tracing of the image or to include the image in the sketch.

Abstract: A user may control a user device utilizing visible light transmitted from a handheld control device. Upon a user actuation associated with the control device, the control device may transmit control information to one or more sensors associated with the user device. The control device may project a visual user interface on a display surface, whereby the visual user interface may represent commands and/or operations that may be performed by the user device. The user may also overlay the visual user interface, or components within the visual user interface, on the one or more sensors of the user device for transmitting a particular command to the user device. By virtue of the handheld device and the projected user interface, the user may both view operations that may be performed with respect to the user device and may also cause the user device to perform those operations.

The alarm circuit includes a direct current converting circuit, a first electronic switch, a second electronic switch, a clock chip, and a light emitting diode. When the fan does not operate, the light emitting diode blinks to warn the user that the fan may have a problem.

Abstract: Techniques for obtaining a reaction of an individual to content and outputting the reaction of the individual with the content are described herein. The techniques may include obtaining the reaction of the individual as the content is displayed to the individual. The reaction may be obtained by capturing a video of the individual. The reaction of the individual and the content may be output at a same time to another individual. These techniques may also include obtaining the reaction of another individual as the content and the reaction of the individual are output to another individual.
