  • Patent number: 10438464
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining and verifying a presence of an object or an intruder within a secured area are provided. Such systems and methods tan include a microprocessor unit sampling data from a smart microwave sensor module to detect the presence of the object or the intruder, using the data to calculate a velocity of the object or intruder, using the data to calculate a distance between the smart microwave sensor module and the object or the intruder, determining whether the velocity is within a predefined range, and using the distance to determine whether the object or the intruder is within a designated protection territory. Such systems and methods also may include recording trigger positions of the object or the intruder when the velocity is within the predefined range and the distance indicates the object or the intruder is within the designated protection territory.

  • Patent number: 10311690
Abstract: Some systems and methods for detecting motion based on a video pattern can include creating a motion image from a sequence of raw images, masking the motion image with a lens pattern associated with a PIR sensor and an associated Fresnel lens, splitting each of a plurality of blocks of the lens pattern into first and second negative areas, identifying a positive area pixel value as a sum of all pixels in the motion image aligned with the first positive area in the plurality of blocks, identifying a negative area pixel value as a sum of all pixels in the motion image aligned with the second negative area in the plurality of blocks, identifying a motion image response value as a difference between the positive and negative area pixel values, and identifying a presence of motion when the motion image response value exceeds a predetermined value.

  • Publication number: 20180211502
Abstract: An intrusion device having an electromagnetic wave transmitter and receiver with a transmitting and receiving antenna, respectively. The transmitter and receiver may be connected to a microcontroller. The device may operate in a microwave and passive infrared range, and detect speed and position of an intruder, such as an object or a person. The device may be customized to indicate intruders within a certain range of speed and range of distances. Further, the device may have a field of view that may be varied. The device may indicate a direction of movement of the intruder. The transmitter, receiver, controller and antenna may be contained on a compact printed circuit board. Much of the electronics may be incorporated on a monolithic integrated circuit. The customization or adjustment of ranges of speed, slow and fast limits, and distance, near and far limits, may be a reason to regard the device as smart.
