    Abstract: A method and system for probability distribution forecast evaluation are disclosed. The present disclosure is directed to embodiments of a system that evaluates probability distribution forecasts by acquiring one or more of a probability distribution forecast, a probability distribution realization, and a prior knowledge of the probability distribution forecast. The system disclosed herein may then compute an accuracy score and an information score based on the acquired forecast, realization, and prior knowledge. In evaluating the forecast, a performance score may also be computed based on the accuracy score and the information score.

    Abstract: A mathematical model between the optimization objects and the optimization objectives is established, with finite-time control parameters as optimization objects, and a total harmonic distortion of an output voltage, a deviation signal of a capacitor voltage and a deviation signal of an output current of BBMC as optimization objectives. A multi-objective optimization satisfaction function and a multi-objective optimization fitness function are established. Multiple sets of optimal finite-time control parameters are iteratively optimized using an adaptive wolf pack algorithm. Functional relationships between respective optimal finite-time control parameters and the corresponding actual output current of BBMC are obtained using a numerical fitting method. Optimal control parameters corresponding to any load are obtained according to the obtained functional relationships.

This system does not generate functions describing why certain inputs result in certain outputs. Instead, it creates incident mappings of inputs to outputs without regard to why inputs result in outputs. These mappings can be distributions or other data sets representative of different outcomes occurring. This enables several useful operations. For example, by providing a data set indicative of outputs that have historically occurred following a particular input, the disclosed system can be used to predict future outcomes with probabilities. For example, if a particular stock price pattern is provided as an input, the system generates an output data set indicating the probabilities of certain price behaviors following that input pattern. This data set can thus be used to predict future behavior. Other useful operations are disclosed herein.

    Abstract: A lidar-based convergence deformation monitoring system for surrounding rock around a TBM shield region, including a data acquisition module. The data acquisition module includes: a lidar, a push-rod motor, an H-bridge circuit, a power supply module, an ARM chip, a guide rod, a linear bearing, a tempered glass cover and a protective case. The lidar and the push-rod motor are connected to a lidar connector to acquire raw data of the surrounding rock and store the raw data in the ARM chip. A middle portion of a top plate of the protective case allows the lidar to extend out of the protective case. The protective case is fastened to an inner wall of the TBM shield through two mounting brackets on both sides of the protective case, and the inner wall facilitates the lidar to extend out of the protective case to perform a measurement.
