    Abstract: The present invention discloses an application of clofoctol for manufacturing a pharmaceutical product for treating human neuroglioma. The clofoctol is a pharmaceutical product for treating an upper respiratory tract infection. The clofoctol exerts a significant and specific inhibition of a glioma stem cell activity relative to a human neuroglioma cell or a normal human astroglia, human embryonic kidney cell, and human neural stem cell. A glioma stem cell treated with the clofoctol exhibited significantly reduced self-renewal, tumorsphere formation, and in vivo tumor formation in a nude rat. In vivo experiments using a zebrafish glioma transplantation model and a nude rat glioma transplantation model provided in vivo verification for the therapeutic efficacy of the pharmaceutical product against glioma.

The crystal proteins may be full length, truncated, variant, or sub-variant Cry proteins. Examples of crystal proteins include Cry5B, Cry21, Cry14A, Cry6A, and Cry13A. The recombinant bacterium may be, for example, a Bacillus subtilis or other Gram-positive bacterium, for instance, a lactic acid fermenting bacterium such as Lactococcus or Lactobacillus. TiO2 nanoparticles are prepared from TiCl4. Subsequently ball milling and dispersing of the cesium tungsten bronze nanoparticles, the TiO2 nanoparticles, and a silane coupling agent with water to obtain an aqueous slurry containing cesium tungsten bronze/TiO2 composite particles is performed. The concentration of the aqueous slurry containing cesium tungsten bronze/TiO2 composite particles is adjusted to obtain a self-cleaning nano heat-insulation coating material.

In an embodiment, a controller automatically controls periodic motion of a probe relative to a sample in response to a substantially instantaneous force determined and automatically controls a gain in a feedback loop. A gain control circuit automatically tunes a gain based on separation distances between a probe and a sample to facilitate stability. Accordingly, instability onset is quickly and accurately determined during scanning, thereby eliminating the need of expert user tuning of gains during operation.
