Abstract: An optical fiber teeth illumination apparatus comprises a handle and a treatment device. The handle has a hollow lighting section at a front end to hold a lighting element and at least one optical fiber. The lighting element is connected to a power source. The lighting section has at least one aperture. The lighting element and the optical fiber are interposed by a condensing light element which focuses light generated by the lighting element on an input end of the optical fiber. The optical fiber has at least one output end facing the aperture to project the light outside. The treatment device is fastened to the front side of the lighting section. Thus dentists can correctly inspect ailing portion and perform treatment without holding a lighting device, and overcome the problem of holding multiple tools such as an oral mirror, lighting device and treatment apparatus at the same time.

  • Publication number: 20110287380
Abstract: A clinical root canal therapy instrument equipped with illumination comprises a handgrip and a therapy element. The handgrip includes a hollow lighting section which has a coupling portion fastened to the therapy element. The therapy element can be a root canal oral mirror. The lighting section holds at least one lighting element connected to a power source and includes at least one aperture on the wall thereof to emit light. The therapy element has one end formed a pushing portion to isolate a patient's tongue or cheek. The handgrip and the root canal oral mirror form an obtuse angle therebetween. • Publication number: 20110151396
Abstract: A tongue isolator equipped with lighting comprises a handgrip and an expanding portion which includes a connecting member and a first expanding wall and a second expanding wall that are connected to two sides of the connecting member to jointly form a U-shape with an opening facing forward. The handgrip has a front end connected to the first expanding wall. The first and second expanding walls are formed in an arched shape to mate the curvature of gum. The first and second expanding walls spaced from each other have an upper distance greater than a lower distance. The first and second expanding walls further have respectively a mirror located at an inner side and an outer side with. Each mirror contains at least one lighting element. The isolator thus can be coupled on a patient's teeth to separate the tongue and cheek and illuminate each tooth surface.
