Abstract: Technologies are described for visualization of current and predicted crowd behavior information for surveillance. In surveillance systems, a variety of image capture devices and audio capture devices may be positioned strategically throughout a building or an area. The capture devices may transmit respective audio and video signals to a display device, such as a monitor in a surveillance control room, and to a signal processor for crowd behavior analysis. A signal processor, according to some examples, may receive crowd characteristics for an area, derive current crowd behavior information from the crowd characteristics, and predict crowd behavior information based on crowd characteristics, area characteristics, normalized crowd behavior information (from other areas), and/or external information. The signal processor may provide current and predicted crowd behavior information to a display device.

Abstract: Technologies are described for visualization of an audio signal with a corresponding video signal for surveillance. An audio capture device may be configured in a surveillance area to capture an audio signal. One or more image capture devices may be configured to capture a video signal in the surveillance area. The audio capture device and the image capture device may be integrated into a capture device in some examples. The audio capture device and the image capture device may be configured to transmit the audio signal and the video signal to a signal processor, which may be configured to match the audio signal with a corresponding video signal, analyze the audio signal to extract information associated with surveillance, and overlay the corresponding video signal with the extracted information from the audio signal.

Abstract: Technologies are generally described that relate to managing and/or generating sensor data. An example method may include receiving output data generated by a pressure sensor. The method may also include determining surface data, indicative of a surface type associated with a force applied to a surface of the pressure sensor, based on the output data. The decoding method includes skipping extension information included in an input bitstream, extracting a three-dimensional (3D) down-mix signal and spatial information from the input bitstream, removing 3D effects from the 3D down-mix signal by performing a 3D rendering operation on the 3D down-mix signal, and generating a multi-channel signal using a down-mix signal obtained by the removal and the spatial information. Accordingly, it is possible to efficiently encode multi-channel signals with 3D effects and to adaptively restore and reproduce audio signals with optimum sound quality according to the characteristics of an audio reproduction environment.
