    Abstract: A secure electronic file transfer system and methods of its use are provided. The sender issues a request to the DAD (Digital Asset Distribution) system causing files residing on local or remote computers to be transferred to the recipient via application and TCP/IP protocols. Client software may be automatically downloaded and installed to the sending and/or receiving device to facilitate the packaging and transfer of said file to a DAD server, and said file may optionally be propagated from said DAD server to additional DAD servers and other non-DAD servers.
