Abstract: Described techniques determine performance metric values of a performance metric characterizing a performance of a system resource of an information technology (IT) system, and determine driver metric values of a driver metric characterizing an occurrence of an event that is at least partially external to the system resource. A correlation analysis may confirm a potential correlation between the performance metric values and the driver metric values as a correlation. A graph relating the performance metric to the driver metric may be generated. A plurality of extrapolation algorithms may be trained to obtain a plurality of trained extrapolation algorithms using a first subset of data points of the graph, and the plurality of trained extrapolation algorithms may be validated using a second subset of data points of the graph. A driver metric threshold corresponding to the performance metric threshold may be determined using a validated extrapolation algorithm.

Abstract: A smart card for assignment to a patient, comprises a processor, a memory and an interface for input and output of data. The card holds patient drug usage information, and obtains data from an external drug database regarding drugs stored in the usage information. The card calculates a warning about adverse drug interactions between any two drugs on the card; and a suggestion for one or more further drugs. The suggestion is based on the patient drug usage information.

A combined image obtained by registering structural and functional images of at least a portion of the patient's body including the target is used together with a guiding device. The guiding device has an indicator associated with the instrument, and is operable for presenting data indicative of a position of a location on the instrument relative to any other point in the at least portion of the patient's body. The guiding device is connectable to a computer device displaying the combined image and operable thereby for guiding the instrument towards the target.

Abstract: A method of stereotactic therapy. A frame including at least three markers that are imaged by a structural imaging modality such as CT or MRI, is rigidly secured to a patient and a structural image, of a target inside the patient including diseased tissue, and of a part of the frame including the markers, is acquired. A functional image, such as a SPECT image or a PET image, of the diseased tissue is acquired and registered with the structural image to produce a combined image. A stereotactic guide is rigidly attached to the frame and is used to guide an instrument such as a biopsy needle or a brachytherapy needle to the diseased tissue, with reference to the combined image.
