Abstract: A device for preventing displacement of an engine in a motorcycle having a driving chain adapted to transmit the rotation of the engine to a rear wheel, while the engine is mounted on a body frame by a plurality of mounting bolts each extending at one end through one of a plurality of holes formed in the engine, and a plurality of brackets attached to the frame. The device comprises a stop supported on the frame behind the engine, and means for damping the vibration of the engine. The damping means is provided on each of the mounting bolts adjacent to each end thereof, and fitted substantially in one of the holes in the engine. The stop includes an adjust bolt facing the rear end of the engine. The adjust bolt has a longitudinal axis located on a line joining the center of a sprocket on the output shaft of the engine and that of a sprocket on the axle of the rear wheel, and in a vertical plane in which the driving chain lies.

Abstract: A motorcycle of chain drive type comprising a frame and an engine supported from the frame at a plurality of locations. The engine drives a drive wheel of the motorcycle through a chain. At least at one of the plurality of support locations is a link coupling coupled to the frame and engine for pivotal movement in a vertical plane while being rigid in the widthwise direction of the frame.

Abstract: A device for preventing displacement of an engine in a motorcycle when a driving chain which transmits the rotation of the engine to a rear wheel has created a counteraction on the engine when the motorcycle is started. The device comprises a rigid tubular member fitted about each end portion of each bolt mounting the engine on a body frame, and a generally cylindrical anti-vibratory rubber member encircling the tubular member, and secured thereto. The tubular member terminates at one end in a flange defining a pair of stops which can abut on the peripheral surface of a hole formed in the engine and through which the bolt extends.

Abstract: The exhaust system in a motorcycle is mounted on the body and fixedly secured at three points, i.e., the front end of the exhaust pipe is connected to an exhaust port of the engine, an intermediate portion of the exhaust pipe is fixed at the rear part of the engine, and a muffler communicatively connected with the exhaust pipe is firmly held by the frame body of the motorcycle.
