  • Patent number: 7300263
Abstract: In a pump conveying a supercritical fluid or a liquid are provided stator slots and motor mold members which are charged between the stator slots, so as to have a stator can of a motor driving the pump from the outside thereof. Additionally, by providing a main shaft of a motor driving the pump and bearings supporting the main shaft with clearance-fitting and by tightening inner rings of the bearings to the main shaft in an axial direction, the bearings are fixed to the main shaft.

  • Patent number: 7207235
Abstract: An electric power steering apparatus comprises a rack-and-pinion mechanism and a ball screw mechanism. The ball screw mechanism comprises a shaft formed a screw groove and a nut formed a screw groove. A ball-roll path is created spirally by the screw grooves of the shaft and the nut being opposite each other. A plural number of balls are contained into the ball-roll path. A ball-return path is connecting both ends of the ball-roll path so that the balls go through. A circulation path consists of the ball-roll path and the ball-return path, in which the balls move endlessly. A plural number of separators is arranged between the balls respectively in order to prevent balls from contacting each other. A number of the balls is fewer from one ball to three balls than a maximum number of the balls which can be contained into the circulation path.

  • Publication number: 20060239845
Abstract: A pump for carrying supercritical CO2 fluid or liquid CO2 capable of securing reliability by optimizing a bearing part. An angular ball bearing (8) comprises an inner ring (8a), an outer ring (8b), balls (8c) held therebetween, and a cage (8d) holding the balls (8c). Both the balls and the inner and outer rings are formed of a ceramic to form a totally ceramic bearing. Also, the cage (8d) is guided by the outer ring or the inner ring. Specifically, for example, when the cage is guided by the inner ring, the inner peripheral surface (8db) of the cage (8d) opposed to the outermost peripheral surface (8ab) of the inner ring (8a) is guided by the outermost peripheral surface (8ab) of the inner ring (8a).

  • Publication number: 20060183962
Abstract: An artificial cardiac pump, comprising an impeller (3) rotatably supported on a fixed shaft body (2) in a housing (1) and a drive mechanism rotating the impeller, wherein blood is taken in from the front side and force-fed to the rear side by the rotation of the impeller (3). The shaft body (2) is connected between a front side fixed body (5) fixed to a straightening plate (4) joined to the housing (1) at the front of the impeller (3) and a rear side fixed body (7) fixed to a diffuser (6) joined to the housing (1) at the rear of the impeller (3). The impeller (3) further comprises a sleeve (8) having an inner peripheral surface opposed to the outer peripheral surface of the shaft body (2) through a minute clearance and front and rear end faces opposed to the rear end face of the front side fixed body (5) and the front end face of the rear side fixed body (7) through minute clearances, and an impeller (9) joined to the outer peripheral surface of the sleeve (8).

  • Publication number: 20060057003
Abstract: A rotating shaft is supported by journal bearings that can support without contacting the rotating shaft itself Then, one end of both shaft end portions of the rotating shaft has a main impeller installed and the other end is provided with a sub impeller. By utilizing a force being generated by rotation of the main impeller, liquid being pumped (fluid being pumped) is sucked in through a suction port and discharged through a discharge port. On the other hand, by utilizing a force being generated by rotation of the sub impeller, fluid is transported to the journal bearings, thereby having the journal bearings support the rotating shaft.

  • Publication number: 20050076733
Abstract: In a ball screw mechanism, in order to eliminate a step on a joint between respective one ends of a female screw groove of a nut and a circulation groove of a ball circulation piece, a ball end mill of the diameter equal to or larger than balls is moved along the female screw groove to machine a joint area between the respective one ends of the female screw groove and the circulation groove. During the movement of the ball end mill, the infeed depth of the ball end mill into the machined surface is gradually increased so that an acute angle is formed as the angle formed by the boundary lines between a finished surface and an unfinished surface at both flanks of the female screw groove.

  • Patent number: 6814178
Abstract: In an electric power steering apparatus 10, when a steering torque rotates a pinion 30, a rack shaft 12 having a rack to engage with the pinion is axially moved. At this time, a ball screw nut 36 engaging with a screw groove 34 of the rack shaft 12 through plural balls 68 is rotated by an electric motor 24 so that the axial movement of the rack shaft 12 is assisted. Each of the pinion and a bearing supporting the ball screw nut 36 is positioned at a place corresponding to minimum amplitude of a free vibration of the rack shaft to restrain a transfer of the vibration of the rack shaft to the vehicle body.
