  • Patent number: 6100124
Abstract: In a method for manufacturing a BiCMOS semiconductor device including bipolar transistors and MOS transistors, a thin gate oxide film is formed on a principal surface of a semiconductor substrate, and a first polysilicon film is formed on the thin gate oxide film. This first polysilicon film is selectively removed from a bipolar transistor formation area, and impurities are introduced into a principal surface region of a semiconductor substrate through only the thin gate oxide film so that a collector region is formed in the semiconductor substrate in the bipolar transistor formation area, and a base region is formed in the collector region, Therefore, a second polysilicon film is formed on the whole surface, and the second polysilicon film and the underlying thin gate oxide film are removed from an emitter formation area within the base region.

  • Patent number: 5537222
Abstract: A image edit apparatus in which area data of 16-bit width have been stored at the memory locations of the corresponding addresses of the respective memory planes of a plane memory 403. The operation of reading area data therefrom by a pseudo sync signal starts before a line sync signal becomes active. A density-conversion/area generating circuit 405 converts the data format from the plane type to the pixel type, so that area commands are generated. Then, the circuit 405 reads an edit command out of a logic RAM, using the area command as address, and outputs the command. By reading the area data earlier and processing that data, a delay in the density-conversion/area generating circuit can be absorbed, so that the output edit command is synchronized with the image data.

  • Patent number: 5266519
Abstract: An oxidizable metal film and a barrier metal film are formed in the named order on an insulating film formed on a semiconductor substrate or in a contact hole formed through the insulating film. A gold film is selectively formed on the barrier metal film in alignment with the contact hole. The barrier metal is selectively removed using the gold film as a mask, and an exposed surface of the oxidizable metal film is oxidized. A second metal film is deposited on only a surface of the gold film by an electroplating using the oxidized surface of the oxidizable metal film as an anti-plating mask. Finally, the oxidizable metal film not covered by the gold film is completely oxidized.

  • Patent number: 4941791
Abstract: A handy bookbinder comprises at least one cover and a spine member. The spine member is formed with an adhesive face at one surface thereof. The spine member may or may not be attached to the cover at one side portion of its adhesive face. In the case where the spine member is attached to the cover, for use, sheets of paper to be held together are placed on the cover, and the spine member is bent and attached to one side of the whole of the sheets, and is attached to the uppermost sheet. Thus, the sheets are held together very easily as if a book were bound. If it is desired to add a new sheet or sheets to the book or to remove one or more of the existing sheets, the spine member may be stripped from the cover or the last sheet and the foregoing one side of the whole of the sheets. After the desired addition or removal, the book can be rebound in the same manner as described above.

  • Patent number: 4218200
Abstract: Rotary piston engine includes a substantially triangular rotor formed with flank cooling oil passages located behind flanks of the rotor. The rotor further has coolant oil passages behind the oil seals at the opposite side surfaces thereof. The flank cooling oil passages are supplied with cooling oil only when the rotor temperature or engine speed is beyond a predetermined value, while the oil seal cooling passages are always supplied with cooling oil so that the rotor flanks can be maintained at a high temperature while preventing the oil seals from being excessively heated.
