  • Publication number: 20070111255
Abstract: Antibodies capable of recognizing many types of proteins having methyllysine residues are established by immunizing an animal with a chemically methylated protein other than histone and subsequent screening or the like depending on the reactivity to a protein obtained by chemically methylating a protein other than the protein used in the immunization. A process for producing such an antibody is also established. These antibodies are useful in searching for and studying various methylated proteins and are particularly useful in regulating the functions of biological molecules wherein the methylation of a lysine residue plays an important role, and in diagnosing a disease by detecting a methyllysine-containing protein.

  • Patent number: 6825317
Abstract: The present invention provides a cyclic tetrapeptide derivative represented by the following general formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof: wherein each of R21 and R22 independently denotes hydrogen, a linear C1-C6-alkyl group to which a non-aromatic cycloalkyl group or an optionally substituted aromatic ring may be attached, or a branched C3-C6-alkyl group to which a non-aromatic cycloalkyl group or an optionally substituted aromatic ring may be attached; and each of R1 and R3 independently denotes a linear C1-C5-alkylene group which may have a C1-C6 side chain, in which the side chain may form a condensed ring structure on the alkylene chain. The present invention also provides a histone deacetylase inhibitor, an MHC class-I molecule expression-promoting agent and a pharmaceutical composition, each of which comprises the above cyclic tetrapeptide derivative or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient.

  • Patent number: 5808704
Abstract: A rear projection type image display apparatus having an arrangement that a projection distance of a projection lens thereof is shortened and a density of mounting of parts relating to an optical system and an electric system is made higher. Furthermore, a width of a rear portion of a housing of the rear projection type image display apparatus is reduced rearwards at any position from the upper portion to the lower portion thereof, and the lower portion of a back cover is depressed inwards. Thus, a space required to install the rear projection type image display apparatus can be reduced, the rear surface of the apparatus can be disposed on a wall without any gap when the apparatus is installed along the wall, and the overall body of the apparatus can be received deep into a corner of walls when the apparatus is installed at the corner.
