  • Patent number: 8021117
Abstract: An impeller for a supercharger cast in molds to provide excellent aerodynamic performance by eliminating parting-line corresponding parts from a hub surface and vane surfaces in each space formed of a pair of long vanes adjacent to each other an a method of manufacturing the impeller. The method comprises a step for casting the impeller in the molds. Molten metal is poured in spaces formed by radially arranging, toward a center axis, the plurality of slide molds each having a short vane-shaped bottomed groove part and a shape for the space between the pair of long vanes adjacent to each other to mold the impeller. Then, the slide molds are moved in the radial direction of the center axis while rotating for mold-releasing. Thus, the impeller for the supercharger having no parting-line corresponding parts on both the hub surface and the vane surfaces in each space formed of the pair of long vanes adjacent to each other can be provided.

  • Patent number: 7971477
Abstract: A detection method for at least one of acting forces on tire among a back-and-forth directional force, a lateral force, vertical force, and a moment about a tire axis, detects the forces by strain outputs of strain sensors, which are attached on the tire and measure the strains of a sidewall portion. The method includes a strain measuring step to measure the strain of the sidewall portion with each of the above-mentioned strain sensors simultaneously at the rotational position P based on the tire rotational standard position X and to obtain the strain output per each strain sensor, and an acting force calculating step to calculate the above-mentioned force acting on the tire based on the strain output per strain sensor obtained on this strain measuring step.

  • Patent number: 7669637
Abstract: A lost-wax cast impeller for a supercharger having no parting line on a hub surface and a blade surface in each space demarcated by pairs of long blades adjacent to each other and having excellent aerodynamic performance. A method of manufacturing the impeller involves forming a lost form pattern in substantially the same shape as the impeller, forming a mold by eliminating the lost form pattern after the lost form pattern is coated with a refractory, and pouring a molten metal in the mold for casting. In the molding step, lost material is injection-molded in a space demarcated by radially arranging, toward a center shaft, a plurality of slide molds having short blade-shaped bottomed groove parts and space shapes between the pairs of long blades adjacent to each other, and the slide molds are released by moving in the radial direction of the center shaft while rotating.
