Patent number: 7074474Abstract: A composite material-stiffened panel has a skin obtained by molding a fiber-reinforced resin composite material into a flat skin, stiffeners arranged in rows on one surface of the skin, and a fiber-reinforced resin-composite material stitched on the skin covering the stiffeners. The composite material-stiffened panel can be manufactured as follows: A first fabric material is placed on a tool having a panel-shaped surface. Stiffeners are placed on the first fabric materials. A second fabric material is placed on the stiffeners to cover at least some of the stiffeners. The second fabric materials are reformed to match the shape of the stiffeners. The reformed second fabric material is stitched on the first fabric material along edges of the stiffeners. All the materials are covered with a bagging film for vacuum. Resin is infiltrated into the fabric materials by a RTM or a RFI method. The infiltrated resin is heated to be hardened.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 2003Date of Patent: July 11, 2006Assignee: Fuji Jukogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yasuhiro Toi, Masahiro Noda, Atsushi Harada, Shigeki Tanaka

Patent number: 6561459Abstract: A wing of composite material has an upper skin, a lower skin and a plurality of intermediate spars arranged between the upper and the lower skin. The intermediate spars extend from roots to tips of the upper and the lower skins. The intermediate spars are integrally formed with the upper and the lower skins or are adhesively bonded to the upper and the lower skins. The wing has a small number of parts, needs greatly reduced time for fabrication and can be fabricated at a low cost.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 2002Date of Patent: May 13, 2003Assignee: Fuji Jukogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kazuaki Amaoka, Takayuki Nagao, Atsushi Harada, Naoya Takizawa, Hideyuki Sano, Yasuhiro Toi, Megumi Hiraki

Publication number: 20030062653Abstract: This invention is a method of fabricating a panel of composite material. The panel includes two outside skins and stringers attached inside of the two outside skins for reinforcing the two outside skins. A plurality of stringers for reinforcing outside skins is formed from dry preformed fibers. The plurality of stringers are disposed at a predetermined interval. Adjacent two stringers is connected with each other via a connecting member made from dry preformed fibers. The connected stringers and the connecting members are set into a forming mold. Resin is introduced into the forming mold to impregnate the dry preformed fibers of the stringers and the connecting members. The resin-impregnated stringers and the resin-impregnated connecting members are cured to unite the resin-impregnated stringers and the resin-impregnated connecting member into one body of “Rudder Shape” stringer. A prepreg is laminated onto an outside-skin shaping mold.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 8, 2002Publication date: April 3, 2003Inventors: Masahiro Noda, Yasuhiro Toi, Takayuki Nagao, Kazuaki Amaoka, Atsushi Harada
