Abstract: A presensitized plate for use in making a lithographic printing plate requiring no dampening water which comprises a substrate having provided thereon a primer layer, a photodimerizable photosensitive layer containing at least one organotin compound and at least one silane coupling agent in a total amount of 0.1 to 20% by weight of the photosensitive resin and a silicone rubber layer, in order, the photosensitive layer of the presensitized plate is formed by previously incorporating the above two compounds into a photosensitive resin composition and then applying the composition to the surface of the primer layer or by contacting a solution containing the compounds with the previously formed photosensitive layer and penetrating the solution into the photosensitive layer. The dry presensitized plate is extremely strong in adhesiveness between the primer layer and the photosensitive layer and exhibits a relatively broad developing latitude and a good image reproducibility.

Abstract: A method for making a dry planographic printing plate, which comprises: exposing through a negative transparency a dry negative working presensitized plate comprising a base substrate having provided thereon, in order, a photosensitive layer containing an orthoquinonediazide compound and a silicone rubber layer; developing the exposed plate; exposing the developed plate to light so as to make its exposure value not less than 5% of the exposure value at the time of the exposure through the negative transparency; and then treating the exposed plate with a basic compound.

Abstract: A method for developing a light-sensitive lithographic printing plate having an image-forming layer containing a substantially water-insoluble diazo resin thereon using a developer composition which comprises (a) benzyl alcohol, .alpha.-methylbenzyl alcohol, ethylene glycol monophenyl ether and/or ethylene glycol monobenzyl ether, (b) an anionic surface active agent and (c) a water-soluble sulfite.
