  • Publication number: 20200037880
Abstract: An ultrasonic irradiation device includes an ultrasonic transducer for external application of HIFU, which is focused ultrasound, to a body surface; and an optical imaging member or camera that takes images of part of the body surface corresponding to an ultrasonic irradiation target area. An irradiation position guide or a marker is located on the body surface, the marker is detected by the camera, and position and irradiation angle of the ultrasonic transducer are controlled based on information about a position of the marker. This makes it possible to direct a therapeutic transducer to a proper irradiation position, and monitor body surface condition during ultrasonic irradiation.

  • Publication number: 20200037952
Abstract: An ultrasonic irradiation device includes: an ultrasonic transducer for external application of focused ultrasound to a body surface; and a tenderness level meter comprising a pressing element that presses the body surface, a pressing unit that presses the pressing element against the body surface, a load measuring unit that measures a pressing force exerted on the body surface by the pressing element, and a pressure recorder for tenderness perception that records a pressing force at which a pressing action of the pressing element causes pain perception. This makes it possible to measure a tenderness level of an ultrasonic irradiation target area without moving an HIFU transducer from above an affected area.

  • Patent number: 7955394
Abstract: The artificial knee joint includes a femoral component, a tibial tray and an insert plate fixed onto the top surface of the tibial tray. The femoral component includes a femoral articular surface and a cam that is provided on the rear end of the femoral articular surface and protrudes from the femoral articular surface, the insert plate includes a tibial articular surface that makes contact with the femoral articular surface and a cam-receiving slide surface that makes contact with the cam. When the knee is extended, the joint takes a first sliding state in which the femoral articular surface slides against the tibial articular surface. When the knee is bent at an angle in a range from 90 to 160 degrees, the joint shifts from the first sliding state to a second sliding state in which the cam slides on the cam-receiving slide surface.

  • Publication number: 20090043395
Abstract: An artificial knee joint that compresses both osseous impingement and soft tissue impingement from occurring and can endure usage over a long period of time is provided. The artificial knee joint of the present invention comprises a femoral component, a tibial tray and an insert plate fixed onto the top surface of the tibial tray. The femoral component comprises a femoral articular surface and a cam that is provided on the rear end of the femoral articular surface and protrudes from the femoral articular surface, the insert plate comprises a tibial articular surface that makes contact with the femoral articular surface and a cam-receiving slide surface that makes contact with the cam. When the knee is extended, the joint takes a first sliding state in which the femoral articular surface slides against the tibial articular surface.
