  • Patent number: 6894679
Abstract: In the function-selecting scene, if one of component keys of a function-selecting key is touched by a user's finger, a cursor is shifted to an item corresponding to the component key touched by the user's finger (S4). If the user gives a push at the same key (S5), the item specified by the cursor is definitely fixed, and steps assigned to the selected item are successively executed (S6). If the user's finger touches the next component key of the function selecting key, the cursor is shifted to the other item corresponding to the next component key (S4). Since information to be inputted is definitely fixed when the user pushes down the key touched by his finger, he can decide to input information, only watching the display and without seeing the keys.

  • Patent number: 6445396
Abstract: In a communication apparatus, a CPU (Central Processing Unit) 4 determines whether or not a message codeword included in a received message begins with a background picture display command. If a background picture display commands heads the message codeword, the CPU 4 reads a background picture designated by a symbol following the command out of a ROM (Read Only Memory) 7. If the message codeword includes a fixed sentence command, then the CPU 4 reads a fixed sentence designated by a symbol following the command out of a ROM 8. Each fixed sentence is associated a particular background picture stored in the ROM 7 and is displayed in a particular format in the background picture. As a result, each fixed sentence read out of the ROM 8 is displayed in a particular area on the basis of a background picture read out of the ROM 7. Further, when the message codeword includes a position command or a font command, the CPU 4 controls the position or the font of characters to be displayed in accordance with the command.

  • Patent number: 6250115
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for creating knitted garments comprising steps of forming an entirely deployed pattern having a deployed shape which can be obtained by flattening an entire predetermined three-dimensional design of a garment to be knitted, dividing the entirely deployed pattern into a plurality of divided areas to form pattern pieces, creating knitted pieces which conform to each shape of the pattern pieces, and forming the predetermined design of garments by joining the knitted pieces to each other based on an arrangement of the divided areas. According to the present invention, since the entirely deployed pattern is formed based on the three-dimensional design which fits to the contours of the wearer, the knitted garment snugly fits and allows easy movement of the body.
