  • Patent number: 7289257
Abstract: A polarizing sheet (A) includes a polarizing film (2) and cellulose triacetate films (6, 6?) bonded to opposing surfaces of the polarizing film (2) with adhesive layers (4, 4?) interposed, respectively. A thermoplastic film (10) is stacked on the exposed surface of one (6?) of the cellulose triacetate films. Another cellulose triacetate film (14) free of an ultraviolet absorber is bonded to the exposed surface of the other cellulose triacetate film (6) of the polarizing sheet with an adhesive (12) containing an organic photochromic compound, to thereby form a laminate sheet. The laminate sheet is placed in an injection mold, and a molding resin material fusible with the thermoplastic film (10) is injected over the thermoplastic film.

  • Patent number: 6807006
Abstract: A film of a plastic material fusible with a lens-forming material and having a high light transmissivity is bonded and laminated, with an adhesive, to a polarizing sheet having a polarization coefficient of 99.0% or higher and a light transmissivity of 40% or higher. The resultant laminate is hot-pressed into a shape similar to an aimed lens. The hot-pressed laminate is placed in a lens forming mold cavity, and a lens-forming resin which has been colored or of which light transmissivity has been adjusted to a desired transmissivity is injected into the cavity to thereby form a polarized lens.

  • Publication number: 20030068465
Abstract: A tufted carpet included a backing bonded to a tufted base with a layer of adhesive containing powder of a far-infrared radiating material. The adhesive layer not only prevents water on the upper surface of the carpet from penetrating through the carpet to the bottom of the carpet, but also warms the carpet so that the water can be evaporated.

  • Patent number: 5468351
Abstract: An apparatus for recovering fresh water or for concentrating a liquid has a structure formed of a roof member 10 having a gradient and a base member 14 provided with a liquid reservoir member 18. A cellulose-based film 20 has one surface saponified 2 to 50 .mu.m deep and the other surface is attached to the inner surface of the roof member. A liquid recovery member 16 is provided in the roof member or the base member, the liquid recovery member being for recovering water which is condensed on the saponified surface of the cellulose-based film and that flows downward.
