  • Patent number: 7320663
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for folding continuous medium including a swing arm pivotable about an axis at one end of the swing arm. The continuous medium is guided by the swing arm and accordion-folded with equal widths as a result of the swinging operation of the swing arm. The swing arm has a telescopic structure for varying the length of the swing arm over a range of a swing of the swing arm.

  • Publication number: 20080002184
Abstract: A high-sensitivity evaluation technique for optical anisotropy. An optical measurement/evaluation apparatus A has an optical pulse generator 1 which generates optical pulses, half mirror 3, first mirror 5, second mirror 7, third mirror 9, retroreflector 11, wave plate 15, lens 17, spectroscope 21, and controller (PC) 23. An optical pulse L1 emitted from the optical pulse generator 1 is separated into two pulsed lights L2 and L3 by the half mirror 3. The pulsed light L2 is reflected by the mirrors 5 and 7 (pulsed lights L4 and L5) and polarized light of the optical pulse is rotated by the half-wave phase plate 15 installed on a rotary stage 15a and is focused on a surface of a specimen S by the lens 17 (L8). The optical pulse L3 is reflected by the retroreflector 11 which returns light parallel to incident light and non-coaxially (L6), and reflected by the mirror 9.

  • Patent number: 6367379
Abstract: A double-sided printing apparatus which includes two printers each including a tractor unit, a fixing unit and scuff rollers is improved in that, even if a printed surface of continuous recording paper contacts with the scuff rollers, stain to the print does not occur. The double-sided printing apparatus includes a tractor unit for forming a print image on the rear surface of continuous recording paper and transporting the continuous recording paper in a forward direction, a flash fixing unit for fixing the print image formed on the continuous recording paper to the continuous recording paper, scuff rollers capable of transporting the continuous recording paper in the forward direction and outputting transport amount information, and a tension control section for controlling the tractor unit and the scuff rollers so that the continuous recording paper has a predetermined tension when printing of the continuous recording paper is started.

  • Patent number: 5905520
Abstract: A paper handling apparatus has a simplified structure and allows printed paper to be stacked efficiently. The paper handling apparatus receives printed paper which has undergone printing for each print job and handles the printed paper in an orderly manner. The paper handling apparatus has a stacking section in which printed paper is stacked sequentially for a plurality of jobs and an unloading mechanism for unloading stacked printed paper from the stacking section to the outside. The paper handling apparatus can be used with a printing apparatus which is connected to a large-scale information processing system or similar for printing a large volume of data.
