  • Patent number: 5386335
Abstract: In a surge absorber, capable of suppressing a voltage surge and a current surge together without interrupting a signal transmission, an input electrode and an output electrode are spaced apart on the surface of a varistor substrate, and a resistance element is connected between the electrodes. A ground electrode is provided on the reverse side of the varistor substrate so as to face the input electrode with the varistor element therebetween. Thereby, a varistor element is formed by the input electrode and the ground electrode where a voltage surge and a current surge can be suppressed by the resistance element, and where a signal waveform is not weakened by capacitance of the varistor element, and ordinary signal transmission is not interrupted.

  • Patent number: 5197170
Abstract: A process of forming an LC composite part. The process includes the steps of: forming a substrate having a capacitor section by laminating ceramic sheets having a plurality of capacitor electrodes formed thereon such that the ceramic sheets and electrode layers alternate, sintering the substrate, forming a plurality of coil sections on the sintered substrate, cutting the substrate into composite parts, and electrically connecting the capacitor electrode layers with the coil section.

  • Patent number: 4792310
Abstract: A connector having the filtering function is disclosed. An electrically conductive radiating plate is provided with a plurality of feed through capacitor elements, the radiating plate being installed in a metallic shell under the condition that it is electrically connected with the shell, and a central conductor passing through each of the feed through capacitor elements being connected with a specified circuit at both ends thereof. Each of the feed through capacitor elements is formed of an electrode provided on the inside and outside circumferential surface of a cylindrical dielectric having a function of a varistor, an outside electrode being electrically connected with the radiating plate, an inside electrode being electrically connected with the central conductor, and each of the feed through capacitor elements absorbing and eliminating noises and abnormal voltages in the connector thereby eliminating the necessity of adding a separate varistor and the like to a printed substrate later on.

  • Patent number: 4746557
Abstract: An LC composite component employing a ceramic sintered body obtained by laminating pluralities of magnetic green sheets and dielectric green sheets and cofiring the same. The ceramic sintered body is provided therein with a magnetic region and a dielectric region along the direction of thickness. The magnetic region of the sintered body is provided with at least one inner electrode layer which extends to first opposite side surfaces of the sintered body, thereby to define an inductance unit. The dielectric region is provided with a plurality of electrodes oppositely arranged through the dielectric substance, which plurality of electrodes includes first and second electrodes. A pair of first outer electrodes are formed on the first side surfaces of the sintered body, to be electrically connected with the inner electrode formed in the magnetic region.

  • Patent number: 4739440
Abstract: A plurality of feedthrough capacitor chips are received in a single casing and retained therein in such a manner that the first outer terminals thereof are connected in common to a single earth plate formed of an electrically conductive member and installed in the casing. The lower end edge of the earth plate is exposed out of the bottom surface of the casing. On the other hand, the second outer electrodes of the feedthrough capacitor chips are respectively connected to terminals which extend to the outside of the casing.
