  • Patent number: 5319411
Abstract: A single-lens reflex camera comprises a taking lens having a zooming optical system, a finder whose angle of view is determined according to a focal length of the taking lens, and an operation member which is manually operated. In the single-lens reflex camera, the focal length of the taking lens is changed by driving the zooming optical system, and the zooming operation is controlled in response to an operation of the operation member so that the focal length of the taking lens is changed in the wide-angle direction by a predetermined amount. An angle of view corresponding to that which is seen before the focal length is changed is displayed within the finder.

  • Patent number: 5302979
Abstract: An ophthalmic apparatus includes a first index mark provided as an index mark for measuring the shape of a cornea substantially on the optic axis, a second index mark provided around the optic axis, and a calculator for calculating the shape of the cornea based on the position information of the cornea-reflected image of the first and second index marks.

  • Patent number: 5209265
Abstract: A flow control device for feeding water flow at a constant flow volume regardless of the pressure. The device comprises a conduit body with a coupling end for coupling with a water supply pipe to receive water therefrom and a discharge end for discharging the water therethrough. The conduit body is formed in the coupling end with a concavity having a bottom wall recessed from the coupling end face and a peripheral inner wall. A passage extends through the conduit body to have its one end opened into the bottom wall and the other end leading to a discharge end. Received within the concavity is an elastic valve having a constricted aperture in fluid communication between the water supply pipe and the passage for feeding the water into the passage through the aperture from the water supply pipe.

  • Patent number: 5170204
Abstract: A display system for displaying information in the viewfinder of a camera, capable of displaying a positive pattern indicating a distance measuring area and a light measuring area on a transparent background so that a photographing field can be seen through the transparent background of the pattern. The display system comprises a liquid crystal display of a guest-host type disposed near the focal plane of the optical system of the viewfinder. The liquid crystal display comprises transparent electrodes provided with a pattern indicating distance measuring areas and light measuring areas, a liquid crystal of a cholesteric-nematic phase transition type having a negative anistropic dielectric property as host, and a dichroic coloring matter having an anisotropic light absorption property as guest. The pattern having a high opacity is displayed on a transparent background in the viewfinder in a satisfactory contrast to the background.

  • Patent number: 4033034
Abstract: Electric dry shaver with reciprocally driven inner blade assembly high in uniform contact pressure distribution against outer blade foil accompanying less frictional heat. The inner blade assembly having parallelly spaced arcuate blades on an elongated semicylindrical frame is coupled substantially at both longitudinal ends of the frame to a connector likewise elongated which transmits to the assembly at the both ends a force urging it to the foil and reciprocal vibrating motion for shaving while the force and motion are given to the connector at its center, preventing arcuate bending of the inner blade assembly.
