  • Publication number: 20040075966
Abstract: An electric discharge machine capable of obtaining an average voltage between a workpiece and an electrode with a simple device. A voltage E is impressed between the electrode and the workpiece to cause an electric discharge to flow a machining current I for an on-time period TON, and after an off-time period TOFF, the voltage E is impressed between the electrode and the workpiece again. The above cycle of the electric discharge is repeated to machine a workpiece. The on-time period TON and the off-time period TOFF are of constant set values. The average voltage V is obtained according to the following equation using the number N of off-time periods or electric discharges in a set time period TA.

  • Publication number: 20040073926
Abstract: A digital broadcast reception apparatus has a program search function of receiving a digital broadcast containing program guide information while changing the frequency received in a tuner. The program guide information is selected using a condition input through a remote control as a search condition, and the genre or service type is narrowed down for temporary presentation of a program from a loudspeaker or on a display. If the audience selects the program, reception of the program is continued. As a result of trial reception, the program search can also be further continued.

  • Publication number: 20040040038
Abstract: A program guide display apparatus includes control unit for reading program data from RAM for storing a plurality of pieces of program data and controlling display unit so as to change the order of the display positions of program descriptions displayed in a table format in response to input unit and can display the program descriptions in the display order responsive to the operator's liking, improving the convenience of the operator. For example, the program descriptions of the programs of the broadcast station to be checked by the operator can be placed at positions of a display screen where the operator can easily see the program descriptions. For example, the two program descriptions to be compared can be displayed so that they are contiguous. The screen need not be scrolled and the program descriptions of the programs to be checked by the operator can be displayed in one screen.

  • Publication number: 20040030440
Abstract: Supply of a wire electrode, application of a detection voltage, and binarization and sampling of the detection voltage are started, so as to start advance of the wire electrode from the position A toward a workpiece. The position of the wire electrode when a sampling value (low level) is detected for the first time is designated as a position B, and the wire electrode is advanced from this position by a predetermined distance P1, and is stopped at a position C. Retreat of the wire electrode is started from the position C, and a position Q where the sampling value has changed from the high level to the low level is stored as a contact/noncontact boundary position. Further, retreat of the wire electrode is continued, and the wire electrode is stopped at a predetermined separating position D, to thereby finish the processing.

  • Publication number: 20030159144
Abstract: FIG. 1 shows an electronic program guide unique to viewer A grouped from an electronic program guide based on electronic program guide data; the program type is set in an (a) column and the display mode of each program is set in a (b) column. In FIG. 1, a news program is displayed in text and a music program is displayed in an icon of musical notes on a music sheet. A sports program is displayed in an icon of a bat and a ball. Since the music program and the sports program are thus displayed in such icon images of reminding the viewer of the program contents, the viewer A can quickly determine the program contents visually.

  • Publication number: 20030140341
Abstract: A program guide for each of service types such as television broadcasting and radio broadcasting contained in digital broadcasting waves receives at a digital broadcast receiver is formed and is displayed. A program guide Pa is a program guide of all service types of TV, radio, etc. A viewer watches program guides in order by operating horizontal scroll keys Kaa and Kab. If the viewer specifies “Radio” in a selection item field Ea on an operation screen Sa, a program guide Pb of only radio service of the service type specified is displayed.

  • Patent number: 4771610
Abstract: A multiroom air conditioner has a plurality of indoor heat exchangers connected to a single outdoor heat exchanger. A reversible expansion valve is installed on a liquid-side branch pipe for each of the indoor heat exchangers, and a solenoid valve is installed on a gas-side branch pipe for each indoor heat exchanger. Temperature sensors are provided on the liquid-side branch pipes, on the gas-side branch pipes, and on the outlet side during cooling of the outdoor heat exchanger. A pressure sensor or a temperature sensor detects the saturation temperature on the high-pressure side of the compressor. Based on the saturation temperature on the high-pressure side of the compressor, the temperature on the outlet side during cooling of the outdoor heat exchanger, and the temperatures in the liquidside branch pipes, a controller controls the expansion valves so as to obtain a target degree of subcooling during cooling and heating.

  • Patent number: 4702087
Abstract: An improved air conditioner for supplying temperature-controlled air to the interior of a room from a ceiling position where the air conditioner is installed without danger of condensate dripping from the air conditioner into the room. Air is sucked from an outer case intake vent into a heat exchanger and the cooled air is blown into the room with blowers. The heat exchanger and the blowers are installed in a suspended outer case in a space above the ceiling of the room. The air sucked from the intake vent is led to air supply vents provided on both sides of the undersurface of the outer case through the air supply trunk, the air supply trunk being divided into sections by a bulkhead.
