  • Patent number: 8154496
Abstract: This invention offers an LCD drive circuit that prevents conversion to a wrong duty driving state and an unintended display caused by taking in of serial data corresponding to the wrong duty driving state. The LCD drive circuit is provided with an LCD drive signal generation circuit that generates driving signals to turn LCD segments on and off based on serial data received by a serial data receiving circuit and is switchable between a ¼ duty driving state and a ? duty driving state. The LCD drive circuit is also provided with a driving state setting circuit that sets the LCD drive signal generation circuit to the ¼ duty driving state based on identification data when the serial data receiving circuit receives the serial data corresponding to the ¼ duty driving state and thereafter forbids the LCD drive signal generation circuit to take in serial data corresponding to the ? duty driving state when the serial data receiving circuit receives the serial data corresponding to the ? duty driving state.

  • Patent number: 8082375
Abstract: This invention offers a data communication system that can perform data communication and detection of a data read-in request signal while reducing the number of communication lines to three, and is tolerant of noise. The data communication between a microcomputer and a key scan IC and the detection of the data read-in request signal are performed through a control line, a clock line and a data line. The data communication system is provided with a data line control circuit that controls the data line so that outputting of the data read-in signal RDRQ to the data line is disabled when first command data is inputted to the key scan IC through the data line, and that the outputting of the data read-in request signal RDRQ to the data line is enabled when second command data is inputted from the microcomputer to the key scan IC through the data line.

  • Publication number: 20050109136
Abstract: A starter for an internal combustion engine includes a motor, a pinion gear connected to the motor to be engaged with a ring gear of the engine. The pinion gear has teeth of a negative addendum modification whose number is larger than a standard gear that has the same outside diameter. Therefore the gear ratio of the pinion gear to the ring gear can be increased without change of the outside diameter thereof.

  • Patent number: 6857984
Abstract: In a starter, an output shaft is disposed on a same axial line with a motor shaft through a planetary gear reduction device. The output shaft has an accommodation recess at the rear end thereof and rotatably receives the top end of the motor shaft therein through a ball. The output shaft and the motor shaft have respective end surfaces opposing each other in the axial direction with a spacing therebetween under a condition that the ball is disposed between the output shaft and the motor shaft. A thrust receiving member thinner than the spacing is disposed in the spacing. The thrust receiving member limits a movement of the output shaft toward the motor due to wear of the accommodation recess.

  • Patent number: 6828707
Abstract: In a starter, a motor rotation shaft and an output shaft are connected through a reduction device. The output shaft is held rotatably by a rear bearing. The bearing has a plurality of through holes between the inner surface and the outer surface. A housing of the starter has a holding part for holding the bearing. A groove is formed annularly in the inner peripheral surface of the holding part. The groove is communicated with the through holes of the bearing. A seal member is press-fit in the holding part in proximity to a pinion gear side of the bearing. The seal member prevents foreign substances from entering the bearing surface of the bearing and inhibits the flowing out of lubricant from the bearing.

  • Patent number: 6817258
Abstract: A starter for an internal combustion engine includes a planetary gear speed reduction mechanism, a pinion and a pinion drive shaft, a motor, a front housing having a plurality of fastening holes disposed at a circumference and a center casing having approximately the same outside diameter as the motor housing. The center housing is disposed between the motor housing and the front housing to align a motor shaft, the planetary gear speed reduction mechanism and the pinion drive shaft. The diameter of the motor housing is a maximum outside diameter of the fastening bolt less than the diameter of a circumference on which the fastening bolts are formed. Therefore, fastening bolts can be easily inserted into the fastening holes.

  • Patent number: 6753621
Abstract: A starter for an internal combustion engine is comprised of an armature, a motor case, a planetary gear speed reduction mechanism connected to an armature shaft, a frame and a partition plate disposed between the motor case and the frame. The partition plate has an armature-shaft hole and a chamber-connection passage between the armature shaft hole and the armature shaft for connecting the motor chamber and the speed reduction chamber. An undulating circumferential groove is formed between the partition plate and the frame to connect the speed reduction chamber and the outside. A long water drainpipe is removed from a starter for a recreational vehicle.
