  • Patent number: 7045161
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a process for producing processed foods, which effectively exert the inherent flavor and taste of food materials, provide superior preservative stability, and keep the original form and color of the food materials; and to provide processed foods produced by the process. The object is solved by establishing the process for producing processed foods which is characterized in that it comprises the steps of contacting raw food materials with a saccharide to accrete and/or penitrate the saccharide to and/or into an intact food material without blanching and then heating the resulting mixture by one or more heating methods selected from the group consisting of steaming, baking, frying, and microwaving to effectively exert the inherent flavor and taste of the food material, and to provide superior preservative stability; and processed foods produced by the process.

  • Patent number: 6913501
Abstract: The present invention has as its objective to provide a display panel with silver electrodes without yellowing, and a method of producing such a display panel. After patterning and applying silver paste to form display electrodes on a substrate, glass paste is applied to form the dielectric layer, covering the electrodes, and both layers are simultaneously baked. Glass frit contained in the silver paste is chosen to have a lower softening point than die glass contained in the glass paste, and the baking process is divided into a first step, in which the baking temperature is equal to or higher than the softening point of the glass frit but lower than the softening point of the glass, and a second step, in which the baking temperature is higher than the softening point of the glass. This process allows a display panel to be produced with fewer bakings and reduced yellowing.

  • Patent number: 5559934
Abstract: A label printing apparatus includes a liquid crystal display unit for displaying an input character string and a message corresponding to each operation stage, a printing unit for printing a character string on each label, a storage unit for storing each data, and a CPU for performing each processing and control. Label information specifying sizes and the like of various types of labels, sheet numbers corresponding to the label information, character size information defining character sizes, and the like are stored in the storage unit. The CPU specifies label information corresponding to the sheet number and selects a maximum printable character size from a character size table as an initial value on the basis of a printing area. The character size is changed so that the horizontal length of an input character string falls within the printing area. The character size is further changed so that all the characters of the character string extending in all the lines fall within the printing area.

  • Patent number: 5350438
Abstract: Metal plated steel sheet scraps are heated to a temperature in the range of about 200.degree. C.-500.degree. C. so that organic material adhered to the scraps is evaporated and removed. Then, the scraps from which organic material has been removed are heated to a temperature in the range of about 500.degree. C.-950.degree. C. so that the plated metal, for example zinc or aluminum, is evaporated. The evaporated metal flows to a retrieving device where the evaporated metal is condensed and retrieved.

  • Patent number: 5342634
Abstract: Described herein are method and apparatus for producing instantly cookable pasta including various kinds of pasta and Chinese and Japanese noodles, and an encased instantly cookable pasta produced by such method and apparatus. According to the invention, part of raw dough of a starting mixture, which contains wheat flour as a major component, is subjected to preliminary steam-cooking, and then mixed with the remaining uncooked part of the starting mixture. The resulting mixture is then processed through shaping, steam-cooking and drying stages to obtain instantly cookable pasta, enshrouding the instantly cookable pasta product in a water-permeable casing before shipment. Due to suppression of thermal degeneration of gluten, the instantly cookable pasta possesses favorable resiliency and is free of the smell inherent to raw wheat flour and cohesion of individual pasta cords.

  • Patent number: 5180617
Abstract: A porous sheet material is inserted into a back side of a foam base material at a convex section and forces a mat-shaped fiber reinforcing material set in a mold toward a facing material during molding. Alternatively, an impregnated sheet material is inserted between the facing material and the fiber reinforcing material at the convex section so that a molding material for the foam base material is impregnated into the impregnated sheet material during molding. Further, a concave section is molded on the back side of the foam base material at the convex portion by a mold projecting section of the mold. That is, the fiber reinforcing material set in the mold is forced toward the facing material by the mold projecting section during molding.
