  • Patent number: 9778970
Abstract: Provided is an onboard electronic control unit. A CPU regularly performs a memory check and, if a determination has been made that there is an error in the memory content, writes the number of times an error has been determined to an error count storage unit, and resets itself. Immediately after the CPU has been reset and before the first memory check is performed, an error determination unit determines whether or not the error count stored in the error count storage unit is at least an error determination threshold. If the error count is at least the error determination threshold, an error response unit causes the CPU to execute a specific error response program, out of the programs in the memory.

  • Patent number: 9773562
Abstract: A storage apparatus includes a flash memory that includes multiple blocks; and a control portion that reads data written in the block and writes the data into the block. The flash memory includes one block set having n pieces of the blocks including BR1 to BRn. A write data and a write flag are capable of being written into each of blocks BRi, the write data being written in accordance with a request, the write flag indicating that the write data has been written into a target block BRj. In accordance with a write request, the control portion performs an erasure process, a first write process, and a second write process. The erasure process erases the data including the write data and the write flag. The first write process writes the new write data into the block BRl. The second write process writes the write flag into a block BRm.

  • Patent number: 7321814
Abstract: A vehicle condition monitoring system for an unattended vehicle includes an initial setting storage means, an actual state detection means, a comparison means, and a reporting means. The initial setting storage means memorizes a predetermined initial setting of a vehicle, that is, a window setting, a light setting, a door lock setting and the like. The actual state detection means detects an actual state of the vehicle. The comparison means compares the initial setting and the actual state of the vehicle. The reporting means issues a report that identifies the existence of a difference between the actual state of the vehicle and the initial setting based on a result of a comparison. A portable device receives the report through a wireless communication system.

  • Patent number: 6960982
Abstract: An electronic key entry system for vehicles has a security ECU mounted in a vehicle for checking an electronic key via radio communication with the same. The ECU includes a CPU and a PWM output unit. The PWM output unit generates an interrupt request at every edge time of PWM pulse transmitted to the electronic key. The CPU sets a pattern of PWM output of a next cycle in response to the interrupt request so that the PWM output unit transmits a pulse corresponding to the set PWM output pattern. The CPU also stops pulse transmission, when no response is received from the electronic key in the course of communication in a plurality of stages.

  • Patent number: 6798336
Abstract: In a remote vehicle door control, a single receiver is used for both a wireless control whereby a door lock actuator is controlled according to an operating command transmitted by a wireless signal in conjunction with user operation of a communication device carried by a user, and a smart control whereby the door lock actuator is controlled automatically after completing a two-way communication process with the communication device. An arbitration means is provided to determine to which one of the wireless control and the smart control the receiver is assigned. If the receiver receives a wireless signal from the communication device, use of the receiver is assigned to the wireless control.

  • Patent number: 6067612
Abstract: A relaying controller communicates with an external tool through a first communication path based on a first communication protocol and communicates with sub-controllers through a second communication path based on a second communication protocol, thus relaying communications between the external tool and the sub-controllers. The relaying controller includes a rewritable non-volatile memory having predetermined storage areas divided in correspondence with the sub-controllers. The relaying controller transmits, in response to a memory reading request from the sub-controller, a stored data in the corresponding storage area to the sub-controller through the second communication path, and writes, in response to a memory writing request from the sub-controller, a writing data received through the second communication path in the corresponding storage area. That is, the relaying controller executes accesses of the sub-controllers to the non-volatile memory.

  • Patent number: 5790603
Abstract: A communication apparatus is used in a communication system, having a communication line, where an operation timing in each of the communication apparatus is coupled to the communication line and synchronized with the received signals in each of the communication apparatus. This communication apparatus comprises a signal-chip microprocessor having a central processing unit for executing main and interruption processing, a register storing data to be transmitted next, an output buffer for transmitting the transmission data, and an edge detector for detecting an edge in the communication line. The output buffer is directly responsive to an edge detection circuit, so that the transmission data can be immediately transmitted in response to the detection of an edge without a variable delay time caused by the operation condition which may be varied by the interruption processing or like.

  • Patent number: 5774817
Abstract: A circuit arrangement disposed in a node within a local area network is connected to a communication bus within the local area network. The circuit arrangement includes an input circuit for introducing data from the communication bus into the node. A node state detecting device is operative for detecting whether or not the node is in a stand-by state. A power feed suspending device is operative for suspending power feed to at least part of the input circuit when the node state detecting device detects that the node is in the stand-by state. A power feed restarting device is operative for monitoring a voltage at the communication bus, and restarting the power feed to at least part of the input circuit when the voltage at the communication bus becomes equal to a level indicating reception of data. A protective circuit is operative for protecting the input circuit from an abnormal current which flows from the communication bus.

  • Patent number: 5684838
Abstract: In a receiving device, when a communication signal, which changes between low level and high level, is received via a filter circuit, an occurrence of an edge of the filtered received signal is monitored. Upon detection of the edge, a type of the edge, that is, whether the edge is a leading or trailing edge, is determined. Depending on the type of the edge, one of preset times prestored corresponding to types of the edges, is selected and starts to be measured. When the selected preset time elapses, the filtered received signal is sampled. With this arrangement, even when a filtering time of the filter circuit differs depending on a type of the edge of the communication signal, a constant sampling timing relative to the communication signal can be achieved irrespective of whether the detected edge is the leading or trailing edge.
