Abstract: The present invention provides an image recording apparatus with an image recording unit for recording an image on a recording medium, a first conveyor for conveying the recording medium to an image recording portion of the image recording unit while bending the recording medium along a drive convey roller by means of the drive convey roller, and a second conveyor for conveying an elongated recording medium having a plurality of pin holes to the first conveyor. A guide capable of changing a contact area between the recording medium and the drive convey roller at a curved portion of the recording medium along the drive convey roller is also provided.

Abstract: An ink jet recording apparatus for recording on a recording medium using an ink jet recording head that records by discharging ink from ink discharge ports thereof. The ink jet recording apparatus includes a carriage that carries the ink jet recording head and reciprocally moves the head in a manner such that the recording head is opposite the recording medium, and the carriage includes a temperature stabilization portion contactable with the ink jet recording head carried on the carriage, wherein the temperature stabilization portion radiates heat generated by the ink jet recording head.

Abstract: A paper tractor comprising a driven sprocket wheel engaging recording paper to feed same, a chassis holding the sprocket wheel on its both sides and movable widthwise of recording paper, a fixed member supporting the chassis slidably via an engaging portion formed at one end thereof and extending widthwise of the recording paper, and a locking lever provided swingable at one end of the chassis and having a locking cam engageable with part of the fixed member. The locking cam including a first cam face for restricting the movement of the chassis by engaging part of the fixed member when the locking lever is swung to a locking position, and a second cam face for allowing the chassis to move opposite to part of the fixed member in virtually non-engaged relationship thereto when the locking lever is swung to its released position.
