  • Patent number: 4449838
Abstract: An ink ribbon cassette for impact type printers comprises an ink roller of plastic sponge impregnated with ink and an endless type ink ribbon contacting with the ink roller. The ink ribbon is provided with a proper tension by a leaf spring member. At the time of assembly, the pressure of the leaf spring on the ribbon is not yet impressed. After the setting of ribbon, the bow-shaped leaf spring is reversed to opposite side in a snap action, being pushed from the outside, thereby to impress the tension. In another example, when the ink volume impregnated in the ink ribbon decreases after long use of the cassette, pressure is applied to the ink roller by the spring member, by changing the side of it bow part and squeezing ink to transfer to the ink ribbon, thereby prolonging the service time of the ink ribbon.

  • Patent number: 4232868
Abstract: A stationary record player is described having a turn table adapted to be rotatably driven by an electric motor. A pickup is pivotally secured to the turn table, the pickup having a stylus which moves along the recording groove of a stationary record medium when the pickup is rotated together with the turn table whereby the signal on the record medium is reproduced. The record player comprises a lift member adapted to detect the arrival of the stylus at the final position of reproduction, the lift member including a lift lever being pivoted to the turn table. One end of the lift lever is held by the pickup until the pickup reaches a final inward position whereby the one end is released allowing the remaining end of the lift lever to be pivoted upward.

  • Patent number: 4031337
Abstract: A loudspeaker consisting of a driver or motor unit consisting of a cylindrical magnet structure, a voice coil and a domed diaphragm; an enclosure unit for receiving therein the driver or motor unit; and a horn unit attached mechanically to the opened end of the enclosure unit, the positioning or locating cylindrical section of the horn unit being snugly fitted into the enclosure unit. The assembly is much facilitated, and the driver or motor unit, the enclosure unit and the horn unit may be located and held in correctly mutually coaxially aligned relationship in a very simple manner. In one embodiment, a spring is loaded between the driver or motor unit and the enclosure unit so that the domed diaphragm may be restrained under the forces in excess of 1.5 kg/cm.sup.2 over which the lowest resonance frequency may be stabilized.
