Patent number: 4449838Abstract: An ink ribbon cassette for impact type printers comprises an ink roller of plastic sponge impregnated with ink and an endless type ink ribbon contacting with the ink roller. The ink ribbon is provided with a proper tension by a leaf spring member. At the time of assembly, the pressure of the leaf spring on the ribbon is not yet impressed. After the setting of ribbon, the bow-shaped leaf spring is reversed to opposite side in a snap action, being pushed from the outside, thereby to impress the tension. In another example, when the ink volume impregnated in the ink ribbon decreases after long use of the cassette, pressure is applied to the ink roller by the spring member, by changing the side of it bow part and squeezing ink to transfer to the ink ribbon, thereby prolonging the service time of the ink ribbon.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 1982Date of Patent: May 22, 1984Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yasushi Okamura, Harukazu Manabe, Norihide Sato

Patent number: 4232868Abstract: A stationary record player is described having a turn table adapted to be rotatably driven by an electric motor. A pickup is pivotally secured to the turn table, the pickup having a stylus which moves along the recording groove of a stationary record medium when the pickup is rotated together with the turn table whereby the signal on the record medium is reproduced. The record player comprises a lift member adapted to detect the arrival of the stylus at the final position of reproduction, the lift member including a lift lever being pivoted to the turn table. One end of the lift lever is held by the pickup until the pickup reaches a final inward position whereby the one end is released allowing the remaining end of the lift lever to be pivoted upward.Type: GrantFiled: October 18, 1978Date of Patent: November 11, 1980Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yasushi Okamura, Kiichiro Tanaka
