  • Patent number: 5634586
Abstract: A single point bonding method used in individually bonding, for example, the leads of a pad of a chip to a pad of a circuit board, including the steps of forming a pressure scar at the free end of each lead by a bonding tool, catching the irregular portions of the thus made pressure scar by the end of the bonding tool so as to move the free end of the lead towards its fixed end and then bonding the lead to a corresponding pad.

  • Patent number: 5349728
Abstract: A magnetic marker comprising a plurality of magnetized fibers oriented substantially parallel to each other is attached to a fringe of ground fabric for production of felt in the form of an endless belt for detecting the travel of the ground fabric and changing various production parameters according to the number of turns which the ground fabric makes around a series of rolls for causing the movement of the ground fabric. Since the magnetic marker consists of extremely thin magnetized fibers, it can withstand the repeated piercing by needles which is required for the production of felt for the purpose of entangling the fibers of fiber web with the ground fabric.

  • Patent number: 5156318
Abstract: In a method for bonding inner leads arranged along a square opening of a tab tape to a semiconductor device, the inner leads of a pair of inner lead rows that face each other are bonded first to the semiconductor device and then a bonding tool is rotated 90 degrees so that inner leads of another pair of inner lead rows are bonded. An ultrasonic bonding apparatus that uses such a method includes a rotary shaft that has the bonding tool at the bottom and is rotated 90 degrees (or any desired angle) via rollers that are mounted eccentrically on the rotary shaft. When the rollers are moved back and forth via a cylinder assembly, the rotary shaft that is eccentric with the rollers is rotated and rotated back 90 degrees, thus making it possible to perform the bonding of inner leads arranged along the square opening of a tab tape by restraining the horn only twice.

  • Patent number: 4941437
Abstract: An automotive radiator cooling system has a radiator cooling fan driven by a hydraulic motor actuated by a pressurized fluid fed through a hydraulic circuit from an engine-driven hydraulic pump. A bypass line extends in bypassing relationship to the hydraulic motor and has ends connected to the circuit upstream and downstream of the hydraulic motor, respectively. A check valve is provided in the bypass line and is operative to allow a flow of the fluid from a reservoir through the bypass line back into a part of the circuit upstream of the motor only when a pressure drop takes place in that part of the circuit due to free rotation of the cooling fan, and thus of the motor, independently of the drive by the hydraulic pump. The backward flow of the fluid is operative to compensate for the pressure drop to prevent the occurrence of cavitation in the circuit upstream of the motor. Desirably, the bypass line is incorporated into the housing of the hydraulic motor.
