  • Publication number: 20100200188
Abstract: The present invention provides a papermaking felt which exhibits a good dewatering capability (water permeability) and resistance to flattening in a papermaking machine, and which is capable of improving surface smoothness of a wet paper web and has improved anti-dehairing property. A papermaking felt using a woven fabric in which at least one of an MD yarn and a CMD yarn arranged on a wet paper web side of a base body is a multifilament yarn which is a bundle of a plurality of filaments with fineness of 100 dtex or less and which is substantially without twisting or only loosely twisted and hence almost without twisting.

  • Publication number: 20100059135
Abstract: In a seam felt for paper manufacture, seam loops formed at opposite ends of a length of ground fabric to which layers of batt fiber are integrated by needle punching, are formed as groups of loops composed of machine direction yarns. When the opposite ends of the ground fabric are brought together, the groups of loops are intermeshed in an alternating arrangement to form a common bore for receiving a seam thread by which the intermeshed groups of loops are secured together. The loops of each group can be held together by adhesive bonding, or by heat adhesion if the machine direction yarns are core-in-sheath composite fibers wherein the sheath has a lower melting point than that of the core.

  • Publication number: 20090133774
Abstract: A seam felt 10c for papermaking comprises wet paper web side batt layer 30c and seam region 12. Fragments of a sheet-shaped nonwoven fabric 40a, which is disposed at a region of the wet paper web side batt layer 30c adjacent to the seam region 12, and which is crushed by means of needle punching, are dispersed within the widthwise range of the batt layer. At least a part of the fibers of the batt layer penetrates holes of the fragments of nonwoven fabric 40a, and the fragments of nonwoven fabric 40a are melted by heat and adhere to fibers of the batt layer.

  • Patent number: 7494568
Abstract: A leader cloth for pulling and installing a belt body onto rolls in a paper machine able to pass between rolls with a small clearance and capable of preventing sag or deflection. At a position near the base portion and a position closer to the apex portion of the leader cloth, stabilizers of a rope or belt-like shape are attached in the width direction to opposite surfaces. Preferably, a sticking fastener is used for the stabilizers The rear face of one piece of the sticking fastener is attached on the surface of the leader cloth by means of stitching to expose sticking face (L-like shaped hooks or loops). The sticking face of the other piece of the sticking fastener is forcefully pressed against the first while applying a tensile force in the width direction to stick the two pieces to each other.

  • Publication number: 20060180290
Abstract: [Problem to be solved] To provide a leader cloth for pulling and installing a belt body onto rolls in a paper machine; the leader cloth is free from problem while passing through between the rolls with small clearance when pulled into the paper machine, and is capable of preventing sag or deflection from being generated thereon. [Solving Means] In a leader cloth for pulling and installing a belt body onto rolls in a paper machine, at a position near the base portion and a position closer to the apex portion, stabilizers of a rope or belt-like shape are attached in the width direction, and each of the stabilizers is attached to the opposite surface thereof.
